    Default How to use spices?

I am on my first day of Phase 1 of FF and am doing great! I used to rely a lot on processed and fast food and LOVE my carbs. I think this will be a great way for me to moderate.

I did have one question regarding how best to use the spices. I was one of those people that put salt and pepper (especially pepper) on most foods. Now I find my meals like eggs, chicken and salad are lacking in flavor. I tried mixing in cayenne but not sure if I used enough. Any advice or tricks will help!

Welcome to the Forum Brittany. So glad you are posting your questions. Cayenne can be really hot and flavorful. Just try using more. It's one of my favorite spices. I also use a lot of garlic. Dill and garlic on chicken is delicious. I like cinnamon in my eggs when I scramble them. It kind'a tastes like French Toast to me. Have fun experimenting with the metabolism boosting spices.

    Hi Brittany!

    Welcome to the Forum!

That's a great question...one that many of us asked when we were brand new to Fat Flushing. Liz gave you some awesome suggestions (love the cinnamon on eggs idea!). I'd recommend poking around on the Forum for thoughts from other members, new as well as veterans. Also, check out our recipe section for lots of ways to use FF spices. Other thoughts are to get a copy of the Fat Flush Cookbook which has bunches of recipes that use all the allowable spices. The cookbook also has recipes for condiments and dressings that will really help to "punch up" your meals!

Have fun experimenting and let us know what you come up with, k?

    Hey Brittany! Welcome!

I make a shaker of 'House Seasoning' and basically use it on everything at my house! So easy
I use garlic, cumin, onion, cayenne as a base... then get creative from there!

Thank you all for the help! I did invest in the cook book seeing as I was not much of a cook myself previously. I find it helps a lot! I like the idea of the cinnamon though I will definitely have to try that! Day 2 and going strong! Actually find myself with less cravings than when I used to eat twice as much....Better calories
