    Default What is Ezekial Bread?

I was looking through the recipes and I see Ezekial bread and tortillas referenced. I was wondering what that was.

    Hi!

You can get the Eizekel bread and tortila's at your local grocery store, typically in the natural/organic section. When I started FF though a few years back I do remember many people have gluten reactions to it. So if you notice any reactions I would find another more friendly bread for you. I eat the Eizekel 4:9 and never have any issues with it. I love making FF french toast with it for my kiddos and me

Oh thank you. I saw that in the book somewhere but I thought it was referring to the bible and making reference that we really didn't need bread. Ha that is too funny. I will pick some up not only for me but for my girls when I make them sandwiches for lunch. Thanks again.

Ezekiel Bread is found usually in the freezer section of the grocery store. Some big chain stores are starting to carry it, along with your local organic stores.
Another bread that is great is by French Meadow Bakery. They make a great organic health seed Spelt bread and tortillas. Again - in the freezer section, because it does not contain preservatives. This bread contains no yeast like Ezekiel bread.

    Ezekiel 4:9 KJV reference:
Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.

The Ezekiel 4:9 Tortillas count as a friendly carb in P2 and P3, and they are yeast and gluten free I love making chicken caesar wraps with them!
