    Default Starting tomorrow (Monday)

So, I did this detox a number of years back and it worked. I lost about eight or nine lbs. Since then, I've gained probably 20 lbs (probably more). Because of my anemia, I have a colonoscopy coming up and want to kick start everything before the prep and decided to do this again. I dug out my book and I'm ready to go!

Decided to post here because I'm hoping this will keep me motivated. I don't want to give up midway.

    I can do this!

Thanks Michelle. I'm off and running and with this. Must admit, leaving the homemade chocolate chip cookies on the counter NOT such a good idea, but I'm sure I'll have no problem getting the kids to eat them today. I really do think the idea of 'being held accountable' and posting here is already helping me stay on the straight and narrow I appreciate the support.

    Hi Kayci!

Welcome to the Forum! Like Michelle, I adore Fast Track and make a point to incorporate it into my Fat Flush Family of Plans at least once a year. There is just something about the way it makes me refocus on what I'm eating. Plus to get in the required amounts of Liver Loving and Colon Caring foods, I find myself bringing back foods into my diet that perhaps I had been somewhat ignoring.

BTW..I'm with you on getting into optimal shape before a colonoscopy as I have mine in 2 weeks!

Hope we hear from you often so we can answer any questions you may have as well as cheer you on.

    Happy Fast Tracking!

Thank you and, Linda, I look forward to hearing out your procedure goes. I had to reschedule mine and it is now three weeks out.

So a bit of a recap on yesterday. Did okay but ended up with a couple faux pas.

First, I love the cranberry water and used that a lot the first time during the first week. This time I made it and it tasted 'different' but good. Turns out I got the pure pomegranite juice instead of cranberry. Well, it's good so I'll work with it this week unless somebody tells me it's a no-no?

Second, ended up not being able to get home during the day as planned and stopped for lunch...sigh...not a lot of good choices out there. I ended up with a plain turkey wrap with veggies and gave part of it to my son.

Other than that, did great. I made this bean soup with kale from AllRecipes http://allrecipes.com/recipe/bean-soup-with-kale/ but omitted the beans. I added lots of other greens and veggies (including cabbage, celery) as well as chicken breast. It is wonderful. I made enough to last a few days. Felt like I got most of my groups in one meal! Drinking a lot of water which was good because we were outdoors a lot yesterday and it was really warm.

I know the book 'frowns' on daily weighings but I've found in the past, I do better if I weigh myself each day. I've found that if it isn't quite what I'd hoped for, I work a bit harder at it the next day so I do weigh myself daily.

On day two and I lost 2.2 lbs

Kayci that's awesome! Fat Flush is straight to the point, isn't it? Day 2 and you've already lost 2.2 lbs- that's great!

A note about the pomegranate juice... It should be made at half the dilution of the cranberry water. It should be fine for now, but when you run out I highly recommend switching over to pure cranberry. Or you could get the cran now, and alternate them for a little variety!

    Best wishes to you

    Hi Kayci,

Kudos to you for making good food choices as well as preparing enough soup to last several meals.

Planning ahead is probably one of the most important tools you can add to your Fat Flush/Fast Track toolbox!

Looking forward to your next update!

Love the support! Thank you so much. It really does help.

So, day two, decided just to eat the foods on the list with a few extra veggies that were in my soup. Have to admit, I was a bit grumpy last night and didn't handle it well when hubby told me he saved some of his chinese food for me All is well again though. Also, I was having some issues with, umm, regularity but yesterday my system started getting rid of stuff it didn't need.

Happy to report that all the homemade chocolate chip cookies are gone so no more struggling with temptation there. I'd kill for a mocha right now though

On day three and lost 2.6lbs since yesterday for a total of 4.8lbs. Want to clarify while I'm about 20 lbs heavier than the last time I did this (years ago), I'm still about 35 to 40 lbs over where I'd like to be so lots of weight to melt off!
