Thumbs up Returning after a year or so :)

Hello everyone. After a year of hectic times and an addition of almost 40 lbs, I have made the terrific decision to come back to what worked well for me before. I started Monday 10/1 and will be doing the 4 week stint of the shakedown (that requires a week break in the middle right?) I know its a long haul but I need to do. My body hurts and I'm sluggish and tired all the time. So I'm hoping to get my body in the right and not focus so hard on how fast the weight comes off, but more on physically feeling better. So far my first 2 days were pretty rough - forgot my eggs yesterday and definitely felt it (I was soooo hungry). Although I have to admit I woke up ready to go this morning and not my usual snooze mode. Remembered my eggs today so hoping that I can bypass the rumbling pains in my stomach today.

Would love to hear any tips you have for the long version of the shakedown. I have to assume my body is going to think it is boring by the end of week 2 and halt all progress. Has anyone figured out a coffee type shake that is shakedown friendly? I saw the recipe for the frap but looked like that was only for FF phases.

Perfect attitude to have!!So far my first 2 days were pretty rough - forgot my eggs yesterday and definitely felt it (I was soooo hungry).

You shouldn't be hungry. Remember those eggs and also that the veggies are unlimited so if you find you're hungry snack on a small ( or large) salad or some cut up veggies. Fill that stomach. Be sure to drink all your water, that will help, too.

As long as the ingredients are allowable you could use the FF recipe. I would think if you replaced the cranwater with an equal amount of prepared coffee that would do it.

    Amen, sista!!

Wendy - Thanks for the welcome! Happy to report that today is day 4 and I've lost 4 lbs. Good start I'd say.

Janine - Yeah, I totally blew it by forgetting my eggs that day. Yesterday was a much better day. Lots of veggies today to keep me full. As for the coffee shake, this is what I tried this morning:

    1/2 cup coffee
about 8 oz of cran water
    vanilla protien powder
    ice
    sprinkle of cinnamon

Actually not too bad leaving the cran in the water for this. Nice mix with the coffee. But I have to say it waters down quickly using just ice instead of frozen fruit. It was nice to 'think' I was having a fancy iced coffee! But I'm excited i get the fruit with my snack this morning.

    Hey Bad!

Lovin' the 4 pounds GONE already!

Your coffee smoothie sounds delish...I must try it!

Question...when you say vanilla protein powder, are you using the Body Protein?

If not, I would recommend getting it as it really does keep you fuller longer. Four to five hours as opposed to two to three with the Whey Protein.

let us know how today goes for you k?

    GREAT JOB!!

Linda - Unfortunately i am using the whey right now. Saving up to get the body protein as I know in the long run it will help a lot. Tomorrow's payday so should be ordering some up.

I decided to switch lunch and dinner, so I'll be having the other shake tonight when I get home. I have the biggest salad in front of me right now and there is no way I'm finishing it. But it's a beautiful sight, lots of bell peppers (been craving red especially this week), crumbled my eggs on there, mushrooms, tomatoes, watercress, and some apple cider vinegar. MMMMMMM Guess I'll have to save the rest for midday snack.

Doing great so far! I never did do well with the Shakedown. Was lucky if I lost 4 pounds in 2 weeks. But that's the beauty of all of AGL's programs. There is something for everyone! I like the Classic Fat Flush Plan, especially the first phase!

I like whey protein, but I like the body protein too! They do fill you up!

Bad...I think you will really enjoy the Body Protein were you are able to order it.

I am always switching up my lunch and dinner on the SS as well...
I love how adaptable the program is to my daily schedule!

Wendy...you are so right! I am sure the having the flexibility to try different plans is partly why I have been a 10 year+ Fat Flusher!

Yeah so I was looking at the recipes and found one with eggplant and shrimp that sounds delish on P1. I'm going to have to make that shakedown friendly and have that tonight!

I'm definitely over my hunger pains and have gone full blown into i'm not hungry. I'm staring at this salad in front of me that is smaller than yesterday but I still don't think I can finish it. And this pain in my arm is driving me nuts!! Stretching won't make it go away...maybe I need more water?

Congrats on being a LOOSER! Yea! Welcome to the ranks of Incredibly Shrinking Women

Try freezing your leftover coffee for your smoothies. Won't water it down so much. You could freeze the cran water too.

Glad to have you here. Looking forward to watching you shrink!
