Default Starting the Fat Flush SD!!!

    Hi Everyone,

I am officially starting the Fat Flush Shake Down tomorrow! Have all supplies and I am ready to go! Looking forward to this journey. I need to lose about 50lbs. I am feeling very motivated, but who isn't in the begining! Hope this motivation lasts. I am a bit concerned about cravings, but I will deal with them if and when they arise.

    Thanks for letting me share!

Elisa and Linda, Thank you both so much for your words of encouragement! I am so excited to be on this journey! Day one was a success! Albeit, day three and four are when the cravings usually kick in.... but right now, a day at a time. Linda, I may take you up on your personal coaching.... I will keep that in mind! I am concerned because I am a runner and run about 4-5 miles a day and really don't want to give that up. But, I also know that is advised against.... I'll see how it goes in the upcoming days!

    Hi Jill!

Yes, you are absolutely correct: one day at a time Stuff may come up, or you may be just fine and have smooth sailing... take it slow, this is a marathon, not a sprint! We want to create healthy habits for life, so you can stay healthy and slim for a very long time!

As for the running, I understand – I am not a runner myself, but have some good friends who are, and I know that's kind of their meditation (one friend compared it to going to church) and their "me time" and they'd never give it up. Perhaps consider making your runs slightly shorter and lighter and make sure you really, really listen to your body. A smoothie with the Body Protein is a really nutritious meal option, but the SS might not provide enough nourishment to support daily runs. My suggestion would be to either cut down or consider going on Fat Flush and adding some friendly carbs.

But then again, the best option might be to have a completely tailored recommendation and meal plan, and nobody can do that better than Linda! She is amazing.

Best of luck on your FF journey!

Thank you Elisa! Yes, my running is my meditation and can't go more than a couple of days without..... I think of it as my sanity medication! LOL! I am in this for the long run and do plan on listening to my body for sure. If the running and the FFSD seem too much I plan on seeking Linda's help.

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement!

    Jill

P.S. Do you know where I can find new FF challenges? I see a lot of groups out there that started together a while back but nothing current....? Am I looking in the right area?

    Hi Jill!

If you don't see any challenges that seem current, just start your own! The board is getting busier now that it's fall and hopefully before long you'll have a new bunch ready to join in with you!

    Good luck on your journey!
Make sure you check in often as we are a nosey bunch who always wants to know how you're doing!

Not sure how to work this journal thing, but hoping I just add to my threads..... Made it through day 4!!"! Days 1-3 were a breeze! No cravings, high energy and just not hungry. Today was a bit more challenging. I ran the past 3 days but kept it to 3.5 miles and ran slower then usual (on purpose). Tonight cravings set in. I also found myself a bit weaker than normal. I listened to my body and did not run tonight. I'm down 2 lbs. I'll take it. I had been on zoloft for 6 months and went from a size 4 to a 14. I had no idea what was causing the weight gain until my doctor said it was most likely the zoloft. I have been off the medication now for about a month and for the first time in 6 months the scale has gone down instead of up! Telling myself this is for the long run! I am praying I stay motivated!!!

Completed day 5 of the FFSD! Was delighted to see the scale this morning. Down a total of 4 lbs. Starting weight was 198, now 194! I could feel the difference in just those 4 lbs. I didn't feel as bloated. My energy remained high throughout the day. I did attempt to run tonight and it was tough, I felt weak, so kept it to 3 miles and jogged, not ran. I normally run about 4-5 miles a day. But, it's all good, I am listening to my body! I did not have cravings at all today. Glad I stuck it out yesterday. The weightloss has definitely remotivated me and kept me on track today! Really greatful for this site and the whole detox process created by ALG!

    Off to bed!

Great!!! You're right, it is important not to push the exercise. It's really recommended to do less than than while you are on the Smoothie Shakedown. Detoxing takes energy and then, as you say, you feel more energized. So happy for you!!
