Default Adrenal burnout/ fatigue & Copper Detoxing

Hello I am new to this forum. I was recently diagnosed with Adrenal Burnout and copper issues. I am hoping to connect with others in the same health challenges. I am working with a Nutritional Balancing Protocol Professional but am looking to find more women who have gone this road as well. My copper is from having the Paragard copper IUD for 4 1/2 years, removed Feb 2012 so that has been 7 months IUD-Free However I am just beginning this journey and looking for others along the way ...much like a light at the end of a tunnel. Please reply or better yet if you know of a thread on this please give me a link. Many blessings to you, Oklahoma

    Hi Oklahoma!

Welcome to our Forum This will be a great place for you- I know many of us struggle with adrenal burnout, and many also have high copper (whether or not they know it). I just wanted to off that Uni Key does Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis. The customized report is designed to help chelate heavy metals and toxins, so it might be a good option for you. It also addresses adrenal and thyroid problems and gives you a list of foods to increase and a list to decrease based on your nutritional balance.

    Best wishes to you!

    Hello oklahoma,

Welcome to the Forum! I suffer from adrenal burnout as well.

I second what Sue recommended, and in addition to that, I'd also like to suggest that you check out Ann Louise's book "Why am I always so tired?" which deals specifically with copper toxicity. I was partly relieved and partly horrified when I read it; finding out that other people may suffer from the same symptoms and that they are all connected... it kind of blew my mind, the whole copper connection. But it was wonderful to find out how to handle it!

It's great you have a specialist to help you deal with it, at least you don't have to convince your doctor that this isn't "all in your head"! And I'm sure he has good protocols to help you through it.
I personally always like to also gather information first hand, and if you are like me in that regard, I think this book might help with that.

I think you'll also find the Forum a very informative, friendly and supportive place, no matter which plan you may be following or which issues you may be dealing with! It's a great environment, and we are happy to have you join us! (thought clearly not happy that you have copper toxicity you know what I mean, right? )
