    Default HCL Supplementation

My husband has been diagnosed with GERD. I am confused about HCL supplementation. Ann Louise says that GERD is a function of having too little HCL not too much. Doctor says to take PPI's to reduce acid. I am game to have him try your HCL supplement but afraid that it may further damage lining of the esophagus...HELP PLEASE.

If he has tissue damage the area may need time to heal. In which case PPI's might be appropriate temporarily. He could take a full spectrum digestive enzyme, like Inf-Zyme, available at www.unikeyhealth.com. After his tissue is repaired he can take HCL.
