Default New girl. Looking for a new way of eating healthier

    Hello everyone,

I am new to this site, have read the first fat flush book and i liked a recipe that was in it. But i can't seem to find it on this site, some of the ingredients consisted of tomatoes, spinach, rice, garlic and ground turkey. can anyone help me with this recipe? Now my goal is to lose 100 lbs., because it is a must and this weight is really getting me down. I don't want to be too overweight and have any type of heart problems. this is one of my biggest fears because my grandmother pasted away years ago and she was short in stature too. Besides these recipes are off the chain and i can get to like them.

My second craving is chocolate, so i really need something to stop the cravings or find something that is good for me with a hint of choc. Bread and salty snacks are next down the line, and this is where I know i can't lose the weight for sure. However, I do love to eat almonds, peanuts, walnuts, lots of fruits and vegetables. Milk intake is only with cereal, so i try to eat liver and lots of spinach to make my sure my bones don't become frail and brittle.

Any and all suggestions will be accepted.

Hi Sydneecomo7, Glad you are here! I have been on the first phase of the classic Fat Flush program and have lost 10 pounds so far. I have more energy, too! I like chocolate too! Who doesn't? ;^) What could stop your cravings would be to do a candida cleanse. Candida is the biggest culprit for cravings, especially for starchy, sugary things. The fat flush plan is a great eating protocol that can help put the cab-bosh on cravings. It has helped me.

The plan is a great plan that works!

    Hello sydnee,

Welcome to the Forum! If you are looking for a way to achieve weight loss and better health and acquire new healthy habits, this is just the place.

If you click on the pink "Choose your plan" above, you will be taken to a breakdown of the plans based on your goals. You mentioned that you'd like to lose 100 pounds, and the Fat Flush Plan, starting with Phase 1, is the recommended plan. It's great that you have access to the Fat Flush Plan book, because you will likely have to refer to it again and again, especially at first, when you might need to refer to the food lists for each phase and to the recommended products while grocery shopping.

You will find recipes for each phase both in the book and in the cooking section of the Forum, as well as in the new Taste of Fat Flush Cookbook (which is free to download!); but you won't find duplicate recipes in the book and forum, because due to copyrights material from the book (including recipes) cannot be reproduced on the Forum.

You will likely find that after a few days on the plan and the supplements, the cravings subside and you don't hear the siren's call of the carbs and chocolate quite as much. Besides, many Fat Flushers from all over the place have already walked the path you are about to get on, and they have come up with lots of ideas to satisfy their taste buds while staying on plan! Want to hear some?

My personal favorites for when I need something crunchy and/or savory are flax crackers and veggie chips (both recipes here.) And as a recovering chocoholic, I can promise you that taking your magnesium regularly will help a lot with those chocolate cravings! Besides, once or twice a week you can make your smoothie with a scoop of chocolate FF whey, which is a delicious (and much healthier!) way of indulging

If it feels like a lot, don't let it overwhelm you. The Forum is a great resource, full of helpful info and supportive people. Take your time to get acquainted with everything and then jump in when you are ready!

Here are a few great places to help you find your way:
Read Ann Louise's Welcome Letter and find out what other perks there are to being a member of the Forum.
Take a look at the Forum Standards & Rules of Conduct.
Check out how other forum members are doing on their plans and give them a little cheer in the Journal Section, where you can also start your own Fat Flush journal if you like.

Above all, don't be shy! We are all here to help each other on our journey to better health... and a slimmer waist

    Aloha Sydnee!

Welcome to the FF Forum. I'm another sorta newbie who's working on reaching for 70 pounds - and can easily go the whole distance and take off more than 100. I'm just starting week 8 and really have no cravings at all. I eat so well that my body is just happy with it's daily menus. Far different from being a slave to the cravings and overwhelming desires for things that weren't good for me.

Several of us have some fun threads going on in the challenge area - feel free to join us. We love to talk story.

Looking forward to getting to know you.
