Default Horrible stomach pain after eating something a bit off of fat flush rules

Sorry for some ugly description of this but I don't really know what else to do. I have been on the fat flush plan for about a month now and i have lost a lot of weight and feel better than I ever have in my life. Recently though, about once or twice a week if I go out to dinner with some family, I think of it as a treat for myself for doing so well, and to have something a little more enjoyable.

I do usually still stick to many of the rules so that even if I don't lose a pound that night, I at least won't gain it back, however every time I do eat out like this I always seem to end up with a horrible stomach ache that lasts forever, and it's not like diarrhea which I would gladly take because it happens then it's done with and you feel better. No, nothing seems to want to come out and it's not constipation, and even when some does come out, the pain does not go away, and it is horribly uncomfortable.

Like I said before, it's never been anything so terrible, examples would be steamed broccoli and chicken from a Chinese restaurant with the sauce on the side so that I just drizzle a little tiny bit over to give it some flavor. Also a petite sirloin from Fridays with ginger-lime slaw and steamed broccoli.

I'm really desperate, pepto wont even ease the pain that I have with this. What should I do?

I'm no expert, and haven't been FFing much longer than you - but -
my body hates anything artificial. That chicken probably has lots of preservatives and sodium in it. Same with the Sirloin and the sauce on the side. If it's not organic, it's got extra stuff that your body has to process to get rid of.

For me - any fried food and any food with 'chemicals' in it will trigger a similar response.

I'm sure the moderators will have something to add. It's tough eating out when our bodies don't enjoy it anymore!

Yeah I suppose that makes sense. its just kind of depressing to think that when I went on fat flush, I had the intentions of losing weight and getting healthy to feel good because I was tired if feeling like crap. But I wanted to eventually balance it so that I would stay on phase 3 for the most part and be able to enjoy the rest of my twenties with friends and enjoy tastier foods I like once in awhile. I go into restaurants now and get things that really arent bad and this happens... I can't live in seclusion from real life for ever, I hope as I phase transition in the future, this doesn't keep happening I've also been in pain for a good 3 and a half hours now without being able to go the bathroom...and I think it's finally going away...

Tara there could be another cause - like your gall bladder acting up. If it continues, you might want to have it checked out.

When I look at what I can eat on Phase 3, I know I can live quite happily on it - but the splurges of eating out will always be a challenge. At least in hawaii I can always get fresh fish and veggies and know they are organic! The blessing is that 20 years ago you couldn't order fresh veggies unless it was a salad drenched in fat! As people get smarter restaurants follow. Once you figure out what your trigger is, I'm betting your local chef will be happy to create a dish or two just for you. They might even put it on the menu. You're not the only Fat Flusher out there!

Hey there TaraBear! I'm so sorry to hear that you're having troubles. My best guess is that the sauces and seasonings they're using on your food contains MSG or gluten, and you must be sensitive to either one, or both :/ You can definitely ask the server if they could please use no seasoning on your food. I totally understand that you want to dine out- and you should be able to! So long as you're sweet to your wait staff, they can usually pull some strings and make something special or prepare a menu item differently for you. I hope this helps you!

I'm a 29 year old female. And every time I eat I wind up having stomach pain. Its so annoying especially when I am out to eat and then as soon as I'm finished I feel the girgelling and cramping. Then having to rush home to use the bathroom. I am so used to it, that I'm afraid to eat out far from home. I hear my stomach making noises too at night even when I'm laying down. Most of the time when I have to go the bathroom it is diarrhea and I wish I knew what its from. Is it just a week stomach or genetics, or something serious? I have a thyroid problem that runs in the family, I don't have it yet I don't think. Also I have had some stress in my life passed couple of years, so is it maybe an ulcer? I don't know. All I doi know is I have stomach pains every day. And its been for years now and it seems to just get worse.

    Hi there!
I would highly recommend adding a probiotic like Flora-Key to your daily regimen. This problem sounds like it could be related to food allergies or sensitivities, and likely the symptoms that results are due to having damage to the lining of your lower digestive tract. L-Glutamine along with the Flora-Key will help help and repair this damage, which would likely improve or reverse your symptoms. After a couple weeks of that, I would recommend doing a parasite cleanse, just to be sure its not a parasitic infection that's causing those undesirable symptoms. Best wishes to you!
