The reason I decided to do SS is because I was having a real hard time getting going after a big menopausal weight gain. This is the beginning of my 4th day and I thought I'd share my experience during my 2 weeks.
So far I haven't been very hungry. I drink my shakes for breakfast and lunch using peaches because I'm processing (freezing for me, drying for husband) several boxes of peaches. Peach + mixed berries is pretty good. I like the taste and consistency of whey powder better but body powder is ok - better now that I'm into the program and actually hungry when it's time to eat.
Late afternoon is a "trouble" time for me so I have my HB egg ready to go. So far I haven't been very creative because I'm very busy, but I'm trying to keep everything ready and available to keep from getting low blood sugar. We just got our beef from a local farmer (grass fed, no hormones) so I'm eating a nice grilled burger patty and cucumber/tomato/onion salad for dinner.
I've been waking up really early, I haven't decided if that's good or bad...is it more energy? or lack of sleep? I need to transition into an earlier bedtime so I can get up early for school so this may make that easier.
3 lbs lost so far, which is pretty good for me and I do think my clothes are fitting better. It just feels good to be on a positive path! I have not cheated at all so far and have taken all my FF kit supplements faithfully!
My 2 issues so far: 1) I'm glad I know about magnesium because constipation set in quick. 2) That Weightloss Formula supplement is smelly---phew! I get that thing "down the hatch" super fast!
You sound like you're off to an amazing start! I think as the days go by (and you'd be surprised how fast time flies!), you'll continue to notice all kinds of benefits. For most people, after Day 4, higher energy levels start to kick in as the most extreme part of the detox period passes. But do try to get to bed earlier- it will make a world of difference.
No worries about needing to be creative with your meals. The SS is all about simplicity...the faster and easier, the better! But we don't want you to be bored either, so do check out the recipes in your SS booklet or on the website for lots of great meal ideas.
Hope the constipation resolves itself soon. Keep up with the fluids as well as lots of your unlimited veggies. Yes, the WLF can have a strong odor which is from the B vitamins...you will get used it in time.
Hope you keep checking in with us so we can continue to answer your questions and cheer you on!

Thank you Michelle! I have a question. I live in a very small community and have to order my cranberry juice (until Thanksgiving when I'll stock up on fresh cranberries to freeze) the most economical brand of concentrate for me to purchase is Dynamic Health, I have not seen that Ann Louise recommends that brand, but is there a reason I should avoid that brand?
Hi Janine! Thanks for input. I need to get some ordered PDQ.
EXPERIENCE UPDATE: Starting day 6. Still doing good. Lost 4.5, I am very happy with that because with hashimotos + menopause big fast losses are a thing of the past for me. I think of 4 1/2 hamburger chubs of fat that are no longer residing on my stomach and hips! Sleeping better and feeling very strong mentally. This is a good time to start because I'm finding lots of fresh veggies.
Day 8 UPDATE:
Still feeling mentally strong, having more energy and less pain (i.e. bending over to pick things up). Even though I haven't lost any more weight, I can notice my muffin top shrinking and my pants loosening up, so I know it's working YEAH! For the last 2 days I have eaten my meal at lunch and had a smoothie dinner, wondering if I could do it and if I would wake up hungry in the middle of the night...but it has been fine.
Today is day 7 for me. I was hoping there would be someone on the Forum doing this at the same time. Is this the first time you've done the Smoothie Shakedown? It is for me and I'm looking for some accountability.
