    Default Truth be told

I have to admit that I didn't lose weight while on the SS for a week. (My daughter was in the same boat.) HOWEVER... I did benefit from the detox of it. The issue I had with red lips (not really chapped, but irritated just around the corners) is mostly gone. It's been a long 5-6 months of that issue pestering me.

I'm going to keep the SS in mind when I need a week-long detox from stress at work. 2 weeks is too much a time period to give up chewing food. My daughter exclaimed that she REALLY appreciates eating food now after a week of 2 shakes a day and one "real" meal. Perhaps limiting it to one shake in the morning because my teaching schedule is too crazy to have a shake also at lunch, even if that entails 2 weeks instead of 1 week. Honestly my weight is good for my height (BMI is happy). I just need to tone some of the muscles now that I'm done the SS. I found if I walked the dogs 2x a day and played on Wii Sport with my daughter was too much when we were on the SS. I recognize the foods which contribute the tummy bloat and if it's a special occasion I won't deny myself and make up for it the next day.

Many people lose inches only in their first week, did you take your measurements? Or are your clothes fitting better? I agree, it is a great detox! I'm happy that it resolved some ongoing problems for you

Clothes fit about the same. But shoes and my wedding band are a little looser? Go figure!?!? My husband's birthday cake is a temptation lurking in my fridge though!
