Default Progestakey Dosing for Missed Period

What to do?!! I'm a 49 year old who has been using Progestakey for about four years now. I've had relatively consistent periods until now. My period is five days late (no pregnancy) and I need to know how to dose Progestakey for a late and/or missed period. Do I go off it for a week? Thanks for any help!

(I suspect the lateness and/or missed period is due to having lost 20 lbs over the past two months.)

    Mi Megan,
Did you start taking the progestakey because of hormonal issues and did it help? I am 44 and can go 4-6 months without a period and then bam...I get one. I am really NOT liking this Peri menopause thing!!! I do find that the FF supplements help smooth out my unbalances
I am really curious about this progestakey and WHEN you should consider starting to take it. Any thoughts?

Megan, I suggest that you follow the directions for perimenopausal women. That is start on the 7th day after the first day of menstrual flow, when it does come, through the 27th day. Probably it will not be too late since this is the first time you are experiencing irregularity.

Cheryl, Good to hear that the FF supplements are helping. Many women find that the GLA does help with hormone issues. Most women are low in progesterone or out of balance with estrogen. If you are having peri menopausal symptoms you can try the ProgestaKey. It is natural progesterone, made from wild yam. It is processed so the wild yam actually works in the body.

You can also do a Salivary Hormone Test and find out the actual hormone levels. Then you would really know what you need. This test is available on unikeyhealth.com

The Progesta-Key has helped tremendously with my terrible PMS symptoms. I took birth control pills for 5 years, and after that amount of time, I did the Salivary Hormone Test and discovered that I was very high in estrogen and extremely low in progesterone. I love the body cream and it smells so lovely with the natural lavender.
