    Default Hungry all the time

I did FF 6 years ago with great success. I was very motivated as I was getting married (2nd time).
I am now 53 years old with horrible night sweats and do not get a lot of sleep. I have tried getting back on FF and have also done Smoothie Shakedown. I find that I get so hungry that it is hard to stay on track. I now need to lose 25 pounds and cannot seem to stick with FF or SSD for more than 3-5 days at a time.
Any suggestions? I am losing what little motivation I have but need to do something to get a grip.
    Thanks.

    Aloha!
I'm a newbie too, but four weeks into FFing and I've really only been hungry twice.
I think the key for me is the Flax oil - make sure you start your day with at least a tablespoon in something.

The next is the veggies. Now, I hate salads. Lettuce does nothing for me or my tastebuds. My partner is the cook. He makes me a
wonderful veggie plate. Start with a bed of sliced cabbage (red and green for color), top with tomato wedges, peas (when you get there), cucs, beans, broccoli, onions...whatever you have on hand. Make a huge plate, use your oil/vinegar/garlic or whatever for dressing, and indulge.

We do this regularly - and I get so full I have to wait a few hours before dinner and my final protein.

Hang in there and give yourself time to get into the routine. I just found out I'm in menopause, but between the flax, the good food and the supplements, no night sweats and sleep is coming regularly again. Hopefully it will help your body adjust also.

    Hi slwdstar,

Are you taking the FF kit when youre on plan, I find that making sure I get all the reccommended supplements makes all the difference for me, specifically the weight loss formula.

Wendy gave some great suggestions too. Always having plan approved veggies around is a great way to always stay on plan even when you're hungry.

    Take care,

    Thanks for your suggestions Wendya.

Cableann-I am taking the supplements. I honestly don't feel them making much of a differwnce. I also ordered and am taking Unikey's Adrenal Formula. I started FF again today. Drinking lots of Cran-water etc. Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Just give them a little time to work. The Adrenal Formula does help your body have more energy to do everything. Many people feel a difference within the first 2 weeks or sooner. If your adrenals are pretty low, it could take a while to be up to par though.

You might also try drinking a large glass of cranwater whenever you feel the hunger coming on. Thirst and hunger are the two most easily confused messages, so staying hydrated can often take the edge off of hunger. I'm also a huge fan of having your favorite veggies in mass quantities, just because you can

Sorry to hear that you are struggling so much. I wondering if some extra protein at night is what you need. I notice that I can be hungry just a couple hours after I eat veggies. I would try having a hard boiled egg or a couple of ounces of protein before going to bed. I know it isn't following the plan to a "T", but it might have help you have a good nights sleep and keep you on track. That would be better than completely quitting because you can't sleep.

If you have a demanding physical job or are exercising alot, that may be causing the hunger too. Phase 1 and Smoothie Shakedown are low calorie. I don't remember what phase you are on right now. I say listen to your body and you may need to start at phase 2. My sister is very active and addicted to exercise. Phase 1 was too hard for her to be on, but she had great success with Phase 2 and Phase 3.

Something else may be causing your cravings. I personally had major cravings caused by too much yeast in my system. It took a couple of weeks to get past those cravings. I also ordered the YC CLeanse which helped to control my cravings until the yeast got under control. I saw a video Ann Louise did about a spit test you can do in the morning to help determine if you may have too much yeast in your system. It was on her YouTube channel.

I wish you the best of luck and hope you stay dedicated to a healthier and happier you!
