Red face Nuts & Seeds on SS?

I didn't see anything regarding nuts & seeds (aside from Flax & Chia)... Is it okay to snack or add nuts or seeds to a smoothie? If okay, what serving size? Obviously no salt added nuts/peanuts/seeds.
Also is it okay to use Truvia (in smoothie or organic coffee)?

My daughter & I are on Day 2. Day One was weird, Day Two a little better. Experimenting with fruits in smoothies. I even juiced a carrot with ginger root for a smoothie so I could have fruit in whole form as a snack. Another smoothie addition... not sure if okay either~ one serving of prunes instead of plum... With ice cubes and flaxseed it made a nice thick smoothie. Trying to find flavors that we aren't holding our nose while chugging smoothie back. Needless to say we are trying... but it is tough. We both lost one pound after Day One though!
I'm having benefits of detox already! I've been battling a weird chapped lip issue since late winter and no addition of Vitamins B or Zinc made a difference. Additional hydration helped a little. I really think that my lips will be cleared up after 3 days!

Tropical fruits are a special occasion?

Think that covers it for now! THANKS!

Dropped another 1.5 lbs since first reading but fell off the cart when lunch at conference had multi grain bread and (GASP!!!) variety of cookies included. Tomorrow's morning reading will tell the truth if I back peddled or not. My daughter said she lost not quite a full pound since her first reading. Smoothies becoming a little more tolerable as time goes. As much as I prefer fresh seasonal juicy fruit, I'm trying frozen fruit to make it colder, thicker, and fuller in flavor than adding ice to the mix.

    Hi Millie,
Glad you and your daughter are enjoying the Shakedown benefits!

Dr. Ann Louise designed the SS to be a quick, easy two week plan, so yes, there are some foods that are not included in her recommendations --- nuts and seeds for example.

There's a saying here on the Forum, "100 percent effort equals 100 percent results", so if you want optimal results from the plan it's a good idea to follow it as written.

Keep us posted..... We love hearing from you!
