Post New to the Forum - Not new to the program :)

    Hi all,
Just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Cheryl and I am from Alberta Canada. I had always been slim as a teen, it wasn't until I had my children that I started a battle with my weight...not just a battle but an ALL OUT WAR! lol
If you can believe this - I have lost over 100 lbs not only once, but twice in my life! Guess what...I am back up again. I just had an aha moment about a month and a half ago (More of a - what the heck am I doing??? moment). The first time I lost my weight was with WW. Good program BUT I am more of a naturalist that does not like chemicals and aspartame etc. The second time I lost my weight was with The fat flush book. It is exactly the program I needed. So why did I gain my weight back? Rebellion, too many nachoes, a little bit of lackluster...why do any of us gain weight? I decided a month ago to get my butt back in gear and get back to healthy!!! I am down about 20 lbs (just going by the way my clothing fits) I think. I have decided not to weigh myself and just let my body be the guide to where it wants to go. I now am facing the fact that this truly isn't a "Diet" but it is the way I have to live my life. So wish me luck...I'll keep you all posted on my progress. My starting weight was 280 lbs.
    Cheers,
    Cheryl

    Hi Cheryl!

    Welcome to the Forum!

Kudos to you for deciding to take control of your weight by committing to the Fat Flush lifestyle! I have been flushing for over 10 years and can tell you that after a lifetime of weight issues, NO other program has helped me to lose the weight and more importantly keep it off. Not to mention, I've conquered some pretty challenging medical issues by following the Fat Flush principles.

So start looking around the Forum and see where you'd like to post. There is always a Fat Flush Challenge going where you'll find friendly faces and bunches of support. Check out our recipe and Cook's Corner sections for loads of ways to make Fat Flushing easier.

Also, I wanted to mention that lots of our members have created their own journals on the Forum to help keep track of their progress along the way.

Hope to see you around often so we can answer your questions and cheer you on as you travel down this amazing path to weight loss and better health!

    Aloha Cheryl!
Nice to see you here...love to make this journey together. I've finally come to the realization that I have to take care of my body, and if being a Fat Flusher for life is the way to go, then so be it. Nice to meet someone who has successfully lost 100 lbs and is going to do it again. Drs say I was at 279 last year. Down to 265 now. Gonna be a long journey, but a healthy one.

    Here we go!

    Default Thanks and a question!

Thank you EVERYONE for such a wonderful welcome!!! This kind of support is definately motivating!
I have a question for anyone who has advice. I have been successfully back on fat flush for almost 2 months...not a hiccup, not a bump whatso-ever! Last night though, I had fallen asleep early evening watching TV and woke up an hour later with a vorasious craving for ANYTHING salty or sugary....it was crazy!!! That hadn't happened to me for the whole two months..why now? So I did end up eating a couple graham wafers which hind sight, I should have grabbed a piece of fruit. Truly, this could have been an all out binge :/
    Any thoughts?

I'm finding that both sight and smells affect my cravings. I have none - until I smell a piece of toast or SEE/HEAR something on the tv. One sitcom had a scene with everyone grabbing their own box of donuts. I don't even LIKE donuts, but the cravings were voracious. Could be something similar happened while you were snoozing.

Cheryl, I would suspect your nap would be the culprit. Out of the ordinary sleep patterns affect your cortisol, which is produced by your adrenal glands, which just happen to run on salt I think that would explain it!! I can relate to similar scenarios, too. Good job for recognizing this as a craving- and even though you gave into it slightly, it's so healthy to recognize that you could have made a better choice in this instance. Remember that feeling- and if the urge strikes you again, just remind yourself that you've been here before, and you know what to do!
