    Default Plateu already???

    Hi,

I was looking for some advice. As of tomorrow I have been on the smoothy shakedown for 1 week and I am only down 4 lbs. The first few days I was consistently losing about 1 lb a day, and then its like i already plateued. for the past 2 days my weight hasn't budged. My routine has been two shakes, a boiled egg as a mid morning snack, and cucumber as an afternoon snack, and then a lean protien a veggies for dinner. And walking about 30 minutes a day. I am DEFINTELY drinking all my cran water, and taking the supplements. Is this common to have already plateued? What do I need to do to see more significant results? I have at lest 30 lbs to lose, so I thought the weight would come off faster. Please help!

    Hi FattytoSkinny!
First, congratulations on your decision to lose extra pounds!!
Second, the SS should be followed for 2 weeks (and weigh only once each week!!).
Thirdly, there is no guarantee of the number of pounds that will be lost - this varies from person-to-person, situation-to-situation, etc.

Now, to continue weight loss, my recommendation would be to move to the Fat Flush Plan. With a minimum of 30 pounds to lose, it seems that this would be the way for you to go. Once you've reached your goal, you could then transition to Fat Flush for Life for a maintenance program. What do you think??

Congrats on the 4 pounds so far! I know it's easy to lose sight of small victories when you're focused on the larger goal- but it has only been one week, and you've already lost 4 pounds!! That is amazing

Technically, a weight loss 'plateau' is not really a plateau until you haven't lost at all in three weeks. It is quite common for us to lose larger amount is in just the first couple days, because our tissues are all inflamed and water-logged from all the toxins we subject ourselves to. So, in those first couple days when your body gets a break from the poisonous stuff, the inflammation subsides, and all the excess fluid we've been holding disappears! Then, and only then, do you begin the process of burning and losing body fat. I think a healthy and realistic goal would be to drop that thirty pounds within the next 4-6 months!

The Fat Flush diet is a lot less diet, and a lot more lifestyle. Trust me- I never thought I would ever follow a diet for more than two weeks... but FF has changed everything. By next week you'll be seeing more results, feeling energized and alive, and that will be more than enough motivation to keep you going towards your goal

Also, as Tink said, you should only be weighing yourself once a week AT MOST. It's much better for your mental health to gauge your weight loss by your measurements, or simply by the fit of your clothing and how you feel.

You're doing wonderfully so far, and you'll have no trouble reaching your goal if you stay positive! Best wishes

The cool thing is you are probably shifting some of that fat into muscle - but you can't tell right now.
I'm one of those 'weigh every day' folks due to tracking my water weight, and was quite frustrated with the
scale being in the same place all week. So I ran the full program this morning (my scale measures all sorts
of things - water %, Muscle wt, bone mass, etc). The numbers between my toes haven't changed, but my body
compositition has. Another pound of muscle is here! That means in just one week my body is now burning more calories a day!

Get out the tape measure and start looking for those missing inches. They are there

    Hi there!

Well after 2 1/2 weeks I am down 6 to 7 lbs- depending on the day, but my skilly jeans fit and are a bit baggy. Mind you my body has changed so much since having a baby that i thought that would never happen. Anyway, after completing the smoothie shakedown, i transitioned well, but now I am starting a second round of the smoothie shakedown. I am very motivated, and actually had high energy while on the plan. This is my last smoothie shakedown until next year so I hope I can lose another 5 or so pounds and then transition abck to fat flush plan.

The one question i have is how do some of these women loose soooo much weight in two weeks- geez if i could have lost 10 to 15 lbs the first time around i would have been good to go!!!! Are you ladies doing anything different? On a side not my husband is doing this with me and he lost 11 lbs in two weeks- JEALOUS!!!!!!

ANYWAY, WILL KEEP Y'ALL POSTED WITH MY PROGRESS!!!

So love 'getting my sexy back'! You go girl!

The truth is, all of us lose differently. No easy 'one size fits all' for everyone. The only truth here is that Fat Flushing works.
Sometimes fast, sometimes slow - but it definitely works.

I've worked hard to get to 11 pounds in six weeks. In the old 'non fat flush lifestyle' ways of thinking, I would have considered that a failure. Now I'm thrilled to think I can eat this way for 52 weeks and be at least 52 pounds down.

It's attitude, perception and perseverance. Celebrate every day you stick to the plan and the rest of your goals will be met before you know it.
