    Post Brand New Here

Hi! I am 62 years old now, and really need to get 'younger'! I have osteoarthritis in my hips, and I need to lose at about 35-40 lbs. - mostly in my abdomen; I never had a weight issue until menopause. Last March I began a plan to lose weight by cutting out all grain, sugars, sweeteners, starches, and dairy; I lost about .5 lbs per week. From the day I began, I became incredibly more tired than ever; I have struggled with fatigue for about 45 years! (I have been through every blood test on the planet through the years, and the doctor says that I am just fine). I bought the book FFP last week and need to re-read it. I bought the GLA (180), CLA, powdered wheatgrass, and ground Chia seed from Vitamin Cottage; I made cranberry water from cooking my frozen cranberries. I have been taking flaxseed oil, coconut oil (as per Bruce Fife), Sam's Club silver multi vitamin, Carlson's fish oil, New Chapter Bone Strength, vitamin C, B Complex, Cosamine ASU, a probiotic capsule, and vitaminD drops all along. Oh, I also take bioidentical hormones and Isocort for adrenal function. It seems that Vitamin Cottage has a reputation for selling quality products. Are you sure I can't find a local source for the protein powder and the probiotic? I have a huge bag of whey protein powder at home that I would sure like to use up.

    Hi almostthin!
Although we always encourage purchasing ALG's products because we KNOW how excellent they are, we are also aware of the occasional need to use what has already been purchased. The best that can be said is to read the nutritional contents of ALG's product and then compare it to yours... if they're reasonably close, then go ahead. HOWEVER, be aware that even with the closest comparison the results may not be exactly the same.

I agree with Tink! Sometimes the easiest thing to do is use up your current supply and get the ALG approved products after you've run out. When that time comes, you're welcome to call Uni Key and go over what you are taking and what suitable replacements there are with on of the knowledgeable consultants there! Best wishes
