    Default Day 10 and Stuck

I've been trying to follow the plan - hard to get all the food in, but definitely getting all the cran water and supplements in.
Originally dropped 6 pounds, 4 are back and the scale isn't moving. Have built one pound of muscle, so that helps (have a TANITA Bodyfat Scale). It's not always easy to make it through the day, but the cravings are subsiding. Realized I'm 'triggered' by the sweets I see on tv. Too funny!

    Any suggestions?

    Hey Wendya!

I can relate- starting off, the Fat Flush Plan was way more food than I was used to eating! What I did- I cut my portions down but kept on schedule so my blood sugar would remain constant and I got a variety of yummy, nutritious foods.

Since you're in Phase 1... how much exercise are you doing? Since P1 is a detox, you should only do light physical activity like walking, biking, stretching, rebounding, and yoga. Your body needs to focus your energy on removing toxins, you can amp up the exercise once you are settled into P2!

And to address the sweet cravings, you can do a round of Y-C Cleanse to fight Candida. Also, eating a sour pickle stops my sweet cravings in their tracks!

    best wishes

    Hi Wendya,

The other things that helps with cravings and blood sugar is the FF Weight Loss Formula from Unikey.
Are you using the FF supplements?

I agree about the amount of food when you're just starting out --- it seems like so much for those of us who were used to 'dieting'.

Keep us posted on how you're doing. We're here for you!

Thanks for the input and advice. Exercise is limited to the bouncing and the recumbent bike - I'm losing weight to prep for 2 total knee replacements. Kinda hoping that a major weight loss might move that 'necessity' into the far future. In re-reading the book, I see that I am probably ready for FF2. I cut out caffeine over a decade ago. We've not had breads except when I make it - and even then my partner eats the majority of it. Sugar was the last cut and since we grow most of our food, even that is not in abundance in the cupboards. i really only had to add the supplements (not FF yet), the cran juice and the schedule. Way easier this time then when I tried 10 years ago

Cravings don't hit often. In fact only twice in the 10 days. I'm amused to find they are triggered by 'sight'. Tonight I managed to avoid the chocolate chip cookies (made for the visiting kids) by mixing 1.5 teaspoons of my Aloha Spiced Cocoa with 1 tbls of flax oil and blending with water/ice. Made a super thick 'frosty' and tasted like an almond/chocolate delight. Since I sweeten this with PureFruit (made from Monk Fruit, the next sweetener that will hit the market), I got chocolate indulgence for about 6 calories. Heaven

Thanks for the support. I've got a lot of fat to flush, and know that this is the only way to really accomplish that goal. Really appreciate knowing I'm not going it alone.

    You are definitely not alone!!
How long have you been on P1? Two to four weeks is the limit. so transition to P2 if that's the case.

    Hi Tinkster!
Today is the end of my two weeks, so ready for that sweet potato Can't wait. We grow our own, so this is the starch I'm adding this evening.

    Hi wendya,

Absolutely you are never alone when you hang out here often!

How wonderful that you live in an area where you can grow most of your own food! Here in SW Florida, our growing season for most foods is very limited. We are in heaven when farmer's market season starts back up in October. It's a long hot summer here without our seasonal favorites!

Looking forward to hearing how your transition into P2 goes. Remember to note how you react to each Friendly Carb you try. Sweet potatoes are a perfect first choice!

Ready for day 2 of Phase 2. Think I'll stick with the sweet potatoes this week (had some bread yesterday). It's here and available. Will re-read the book to make sure I've got the new stuff down.

Feeling good and ready for another week of CHANGE!

    Hey Wendya!

Just wanted to let you know, that the Ezekiel 4:9 Tortillas are the most current and up-to-date only approved 'bread' during Fat Flush P2. The ones referenced in the book now contain yeast and or gluten- both triggers that we are trying to avoid! Sticking to sweet potato sounds great, I just thought I'd tell you for future reference!

Suerra - I just looked and the Ezekiel Tortillas contain sprouted wheat. Is there something about the sprouting that counteracts the gluten? They aren't listed as gluten free. Just wondering. I've been staying away from wheat for about 3 months, but it sure would be nice to have a tortilla or wrap now and then.
