Question Smoothies - fruit only? or is some veg ok?

I noticed that the smoothies are all fruit plus the flax, oil, protein powder...

Is there some reason that I can't toss a bit of spinach in with the fruit? I usually enjoy a green smoothie when I'm on a healthy kick...

    Is this counter indicated?

Ok... because some dietitians frown on mixing fruit with anything else, for digestive purposes...

This is the food combining advice that Ann Louise also gives. However, when everything is blended it is almost "predigested" and should go through the digestive system easily.
