Hi everyone! I found this site while searching for answers about peri-menopause. (Yes, I've read her book about it.) This fall I will be teaching high school for my third year, first year as certified, and between hitting my 40's and some emotional turmoil this past year (2012) a few pounds have collected on my belly and hips. After reading through the forum links I too am stumped about my chapped lips that fade and return since this late winter. I've dosed up on vitamins and foods rich in flaxseed oil, B vitamins, and zinc. Yes, staying hydrated as much as I can too. They never seem to heal 100% though. I wonder if it is due to hormone levels since things are "changing". My iron levels are good (ER visit in June allowed me to check on that after a respiratory infection scare). I'm a pretty boring patient when I ask for answers. Another freaky issue that started this spring - hives inside my lower lip and gum line when I am stressed. Since school year is done for now I haven't had the "stressor" around to inflict more hives.
Any advice? Tips? Any & all are appreciated!![]()
