    Hey Wendy!

    Maui? Wowie!!

Just want to remind you to try not weighing yourself every day. Daily weight fluctuations of up to 5 pounds or more are absolutely normal for the human body - no matter what you may have consumed (or not consumed) the day (or days) before.

Hide the scale (even better, have your husband hide it!) and weigh yourself no more than once a week - same day, same time, same place. Focus less on the number between your toes and focus more on developing behaviors that will improve that number.

I completely agree with Tink! (great to see you, btw Tink!!!)

Wendya, I just want you to know- that I totally support your idea of being fresh and local... I mean you can't get any better than fruit from your own yard!! Just keep in mind, because weight loss is one of your goals here, that papaya and mango are quite high on the glycemic index (and are not part of P1 or P2).

It's great that your seeing results already!! If your losing slows down, I think that reducing the amount of fruit or eating only the approved fruits would be the first place to start

Been an interesting week of ah-ha's.

Started Phase 2 yesterday. Instead of the sweet potato, I did some bread. Not the bread I should have, but my homemade full of flax seed, sunflower, oatmeal and sesame. But yes, yeast and whole wheat/barley flour. No real reactions to it, so that was good. Then my partner brought home fresh sugar snap peas for the evening veggie plate and I ate those too. And had a bite of the last of the smoked salmon. Been super good for 2 weeks, and today - pow!

So yes, the numbers between my toes were up a few ounces, but they are celebration ounces. I do weigh every day because I have a huge lymph edema issue. The Dr told me I'm down 15 lbs since last year - except I know that 2/3rds was from the edema. The cran water is helping make such a difference, I love seeing it. My scale does more than give me a weight - it tells me how much water I'm carrying and where - and how much muscle I've built and where. So the good news is that those ounces are muscle! Yes! Not too much water gain - which is a relief. My visceral fat is down one number also. My BMR is up 22 calories to 1902.

My challenge this time is getting my head around the concept that I could totally lose my fat, build more muscle and only have those numbers between my toes change a baby bit compared to what the official charts say. I am not the number between my toes, I am so much more...

Thanks for the input on the local fruits. The oranges are on at the neighbors, so will add those and cut back on the papayas/mangos.

My other ahha is coming off some antidepressants. The scale hasn't budged in 10 days...and 24 hrs after I stopped one prescription I see movement in weight and body composition. Supposed to start another prescription soon, but gonna track everything in the meantime.

Off to get my Lomi Lomi massage...my treat to myself on my road to wellness.

Wahoo! My massage therapist said she can totally tell the difference in my lymph system! This is such good news. AND she said my skin is so much moister from the flax oil, my waist is smaller, the back of my thighs are 'smooth' vs bumpy cellulite and my lymph system is so busy draining the toxins that I've got to work on it daily to keep it flowing.

    Such positive news.

Just enjoying how good I feel eating the Flush way. Less aches in my knees, (which need to be replaced), mood is good,
energy is good, outlook is totally positive. I know this is going to be a long journey - so can't imagine not having a banana for over a year - but it's the final journey to reach phase 3. The more I re-read phase 3, the more I'm ready for this to be my life style - for the rest of
my life. Imagine a plan that LETS me eat coconut milk (which we make fresh)! Bliss. Pure Bliss!

Working on adapting my Aloha Spiced Cocoa recipes to work with the PureFruit sweetener (next up on the market, and totally organic processing, non caloric, no aftertaste sweetener...made with Monk Fruit and been around for over 800 years.). Since my cocoa is 100% Dark cacao, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, this one is going to be perfect for P3 - and probably P2. It totally satisfies my chocolate cravings and if I blend it with water and some flax oil and milk, it's like a choco-almond icee. Decadent!

    Hi Wendy!
    Congratulations on your progress!

Wanted to let you know that when the mood HITS for a banana, making yourself go without something for too long can hurt your progress. So, make it something special and sub your fruit for 1/2 banana, and ENJOY! Then, back on P2!

    Tink -
Thanks for letting me know it's 'ok' to make those choices and not feel like I failed. We have baby apple bananas here - nutrient dense and just the right size for one or two (2-4"). Perfect snack size. In six months, I'll have huge amounts of bananas on in the yard.

Thinking I'll do P2 till the holidays, upgrade to P3 to make it through and then back to P2 or even P1 for a week to continue the journey.

Made it through a community bbq yesterday. Did have a glass of champagne, a mini slice of emma queen cake and a lilikoi meringue pie. Also ate my lean protein and veggies and avoided all the other starches. Body did not like the sweets. Immediate ankle swelling. Good experience and a little more aware of what my body likes/doesn't like. It's one thing to not eat something because it's on the 'do not touch' list. It's quite another when it's because my body doesn't like it.

Still drinking my diluted cran water because I like it and it helps make me drink all day. That ok on p2?
