Talking Let's chat about Phase 2

I am calling all phase 2er's to come and chat about what is working for you. What are you doing to make P2 successful for you? How do you reward yourself for your successes? Or what ever you want to discuss or share.

Thought that maybe as an intro, we could all review Charli's Famous P2 Lecture

Here is one of the things that motivates me....shoes. It is also how I reward myself when I pass 15 pound "milestones". I have found that when I lose 15, it requires new clothes, and new clothes require new shoes (at least it does for me). I know everyone has a different "hot button". Mine just happens to be shoes. I will buy the shoes first then look for outfits to go with them. (I know....weird, huh?)

You know....as far as clothes go, there are some great deals at second hand stores. You can find really nice, barely worn items that look new, for very little.

My next milestone, 200 lbs. is going to me a massage/hair day, followed by a walk on the beach (lake Mead). I will make it a Terri day in every regard.

What is your next reward. It doesn't have to be a material reward. What will motivate you to make it to your next milestone?

Great thread Terri! My reward isn't based on weight loss but on continuing this healthy new way of life and the energy and joy it has brought me.

I am right behind you Terri, well almost, I love handbags probably as much as you love shoes.

My first choice for reward though is... massage!!! I tell myself that for every month I stay on the plan... another massage for me!

Handbags are right behind shoes for me. I agree with you about the energy and joy you receive from following the plan. It is a great motivator. Eating off plan with foods our bodies don't need or like, can create such a drain on the engery levels as well as a drain on our sense of well being. It really isn't worth it. I really like...no...I really love how I feel when I treat my body good. Like...eating healthy and thinking happy & slender thoughts. I don't ever want to go back. You're right Kathi, this is the best reward...feeling great.

...and not a thing wrong with feeling happy, being healthy and having an abundance of energy WHILE wearing fantastic shoes and carrying an amazing bag right Terri?

Charli's talk on P2 is really great, thanks for bringing it to the forefront here Mandy!

Kathi - So nice to "see" you! Hope you are doing well!
Terri - Thanks for starting the new thread for our P2 chats!

It's funny about the reward thing... when I started FFP, I wrote down in my journal that my reward after a loss of 15 pounds would be a new handbag - I even had it picked out! Last Sunday, I realized I was only a pound and a half away from reaching my first goal - and the handbag I picked out was now on sale for 50% off!
And you know what?? I really wasn't too very excited about the handbag anymore... in fact, to be totally honest - I don't even know for sure that I'll get it when I reach the 15 pound mark. It just doesn't have the same importance that it did 13.4 pounds ago!
