What you should know is that, except for Health from the Sun, all other recommended brands are found in the refrigerated section of the health foods. Do not, under any circumstances, purchase FSO from GNC because it's unrefrigerated and runs a much higher risk of being rancid and bitter. ![]() PS. the tea thang? it's copper in the black teas that you are avoiding for now. ![]()

Well the tea is gone for now. I skipped my mock cappucino this a.m. I usually make with a small smoutn of decaf coffee and then add Sugar Free Creamer to. I don't usually have on weekends, but I did miss at work this am.
My weekend was not so great on foods choices. Stared out good Saturday in morning and lunch wasn't even that bad, but then came snack in afternoon, McDonalds Carmel sundae with nuts - opps! Supper was bad and ended up woth heartburn because of it. I had a Chicken Caesar wrap then a little more ice cream after that. The next day I was back on track until I went to movies with daughter. I love popcorn. Well with those set backs I am back with it and with the plan. Couldn't get the flax oil this weekend. The store I thought had it did not, so I will have to do a little searching for that. Well here is to finishing the day out strong. Thanks TerriW, allisue, and csor for stopping by with tips and no, no's I need the help! fitnesslady

Thanks mychelle for that receipe. As soon as I find flax oil I will give it a try. I didn't look ion the refrigerated section, so that is where it might be at. I have never been big on herbs, fresh or dried. My mother didn't use so I guess I don't either.
My salad dressing is the last to go, but I have been trying to use as least as possible. This has been a tyring week. A bit more stress then I wanted. I don't know if I am losing anything or not, but tomorrow will tell. I do feel much in clothing though. Okay to the delicate issue. I have always had constipation and now that I can't walk that much, it seems worse and especially on this program. I have flipped back and forth between the flax and psyllium. I have taken the psyllium for about two years or more, but this program has all but halted things. I also take magnesium citrate, three tablets at night, but it does not create diahrea. I really need some help here, but I am afraid I won't be able to buy any more supplements. Any suggestions? Has anybody ever noticed that they can taste their food again or re-gain their sense of smell? I have lost both, not totally, but greatly reduced. I am guessing it is a systom of menopause. My nose has been running alot lately and the other night I thought for sure I was coming down with a cold, because I was sneezing my head off. Odd things that happen. Do I need to fully detox before the weight begins to come off? I know I need a good cleanse, but I can't afford additional supplements. Well thanks to all for stopping by. fitnesslady

Well weigh in day. Wasn't terrific, but at least its moving down. 2.5 pounds. I suspect it hasn't gone down much due to fact I still haven't had a good BM in two days. Once I do, I sure I will flush quite a bit more.
This weekend I am sure will be a challenge, but not as much as the following weekend. I will be with my husband at a fishing tackle show and although I will try my best, I am not sure that it will be perfect. I think due to this off weekend, I will remain on the two week flush through the first week in March, then switch to Phase 2 if all goes well. I definately will take my cran water and lemon water and then I will have to really watch what I eat from there. I know there are plenty of choices when we are out and about, but we will be limited to snack bar there. Can't remember the choices. Some things I don't like anyway so that won't be a bother. I think if I can stay fairly clean, everything will be okay. I am sure that if I see a substantsial amount of weight go this week, it will be motivation enough not to cave in. Caffiene is gone, sweets are gone, high carbs are gone and I have gotten back to a decent eating plan. Still need to get my flax oil and I should be good to go. Everyone have a good weekend. fitnesslady

You may need to plan ahead for when you are out and about on weekends or any other day. Buy a little gel pack to keep in the freezer and when you go out take a large purse or small tote bag and throw in your cold pack with some cooked meat and cut up veggies, hard boiled egg, etc. That way you won't be tempted with fast food loaded with salt and other bad stuff. I know it is hard to plan and prepare stuff ahead but you could make sure you always have some meat cooked and frozen in a baggy to grab & go!
Keep up the good work. Which protien powder are you using? I ask because I found the Body Protien caused me to be bloated and constipated but the Whey powder did not do that to me. Hope you break free from the constipation soon. I know how uncomfortable that can be and it is common for people who are just beginning the plan. Lots of water, magnesium and just time... it will pass eventually if you make sure you are getting lots of vegetable fiber to get stuff moving. The Chia seeds work better for me than the flax seeds did. Chia seeds are the new seeds preferred over psyllium or flax seeds in the newest book by ALG. Also are you using whole flax seed because the flax meal can stop you up. Keep up the good work! |

Hey there fitness lady ~
Congratulations on the 2.5 pounds. It is a good number. It is different for everyone. Some lose a lot some don't lose at all on P1. Be excited about your progresss. And make sure to measure. Sometimes you will see a much larger difference in the tape measure when you see little or no downward movement on the scale. Know that you are making a the best, healthy choices and that the side effect to this is becoming a slender and healthy you! Look at this as a lifestyle choice and not just another diet. Keep you eye on the goal and it will happen for you!

I would up the magnesium for the intestinal flush and take another round in the am. You really want to up the veggies too. Lots of veggies.
The hard part, that becomes really easy after you 'get into it' is to take food with you. I take a hard-boiled egg, an apple or blood orange, my cran water (40 oz bottle) and then a baggie with about 4 oz of cut up chicken and another baggie of steamed veggies with that yummy flax dressing. Get the 'Bragg's dried herb sprinkle', you can find it at the health food store on the on their web-site. I season with that. The no salt has been hard. A few times I sprinkled a few grains of sea salt, I know your not supposed to but I was going crazy with the chicken. I find if I don't have my food bag packed, it is hard to make good choices and then it can turn into a free for all. I made the best choice out but the chicken skewer had sauce on it, so its better to have your food to take. You might want to get a bag of the frozen chicken breasts, frozen shrimp and cut up veggies or grab some from a salad bar if your grocery store has one and cut them up right away so everything is easy as you go. So worth it to plan out. I am on day 13, down 9lbs., 20 more to go! Go 100% (or as close as you can) and you will see results!

Thanks Mychelle for all your suggestions. I already take 1200 mg of Mag. at bedtime, so I didn't think it wise to take more. Things have been moving again, so hopefully no other measures will have to be taken.
I am packing a few things with us, but won't be able to take everything. I will have lemon water and cran water, hard boiled eggs etc. I am going to take a few almonds and I know they are not on plan, but it will be better than anything else. I baked cookies this last weekend to take with us. Oh that was a tough one! I had one out of each batch. At least they were pretty small and I hailed it to two. Now I have to hope the best for this weekend. I will have two men with me, so hopefully they will wolf them down. I finally found the flax oil. Of course it was in the refrigerated section. Don't mind it a bit, but I do like my olive oil better. Made a lemon, cider vinegar, flax oil with garlic and a bit of Stevia. Had in coleslaw over weekend and liked it. Had it over my lettuce and it past the test. I was basically eating well, but letting myself go at nights, when I decided to get on this plan. I just wasn't getting that push I needed and now that I have gotten on, things are much better now. I am eating better and feeling better. Now just need this weight to go. Flush, Flush, Flush! I do feel thinner, but clothes are still feeling the same. I will see on Friday how well I am doing. I am on week two, but will remain on Phase 1 one more week after this weekend, because I know it won't be perfect. Heading to some reading. fitnesslady
