Question Similarities/Differences between Colon Cleansing & Fast Detox Kits

Hi there,

I just recieved my Colon Cleansing Kit (first timer) and I am kind of confused in terms of cleansing and the best products or process to use. With my kit came literature, and in combination with what I've read from ALG's books and research, I am not sure if maybe I should be using the Fast Detox Diet Kit first as there is mention to take the Super-GI Cleanse along with colon cleansing...and the Super-GI and Flora Key are in the Fast Detox Kit.

I am going to start eating (ALG's way) and exercising accordingly (bikram yoga, cardio), but I reeeeeeaaaaaally need to do a colon cleanse as I have never done so.

Should I order the Super-GI Cleanse and take it before, together or I am fine with just the CC Kit?

Should I order the Fast Detox Kit as well and do that after the CC?

Thanks, really appreciate your knowledgable assistance and clarification!

Whoa there, grasshopper!
You are combining products from several different plans. "My Colon Cleansing Kit" is for the Gut Flush plan - not for weightloss per se. Fast Track Detox kit is for the Fast Track Detox plan (also not a weightloss plan, but it is a Detox plan).
Step away from the "buy" button and decide which plan you want to follow.
Gut Flush (a digestive healing plan)
Fast Track (a detox plan)
Fat Flush (a weightloss plan)
And stick to the plan with its recommended supplements. You can start with Gut Flush, if you like and follow it with Fast Track. Do you have the books?

Hi csoar,

In response to your feedback on my earlier question, maybe I should clarify a bit more. I am going to use the "My Colon Cleansing Kit" but in the literature I recieved it states that as part of the necessary steps for effective cleansing, along with a modified diet and administering special foods, it is suggested the Super-GI Cleanse & HCI+2 products be used from what I understand before starting the CC kit.

I thought I was fine with just the CC Kit? Do I also need these 2 other products as well?

The confusion I may have created is that the Super-GI Cleanse product that is suggested to be taken with or before CC kit (not sure?) is also included in the Fast Detox Diet Kit, along with Flora Key (which is also part of the CC Kit). So this is also where I need clarification because it seems there is in fact a combining of products from kits/plans.

I do consider colon cleansing a part of flushing my system. I am trying to lose weight but in the process I want to be sure my colon is optimally clean and healthy, so to me it's all a part of the plan, I just need to know which process to follow.

Thanks again to you or any others that can help.

My question would follow Charli's... which of ALG's Plans are you following? Yes, you may use the Colon Cleanse in conjunction with the Fat Flush Plan - the SGIC is a fiber Supplement which many of us use as our fiber source and FloraKey is a Probiotic (these are sold separately, as well as in the kit.) HCl is a digestive aid, taken with meals.
Since weight loss seems to be your ultimate goal, why don't you get a copy of the Fat Flush Plan (if you don't already have it) and follow it's quidelines! Good luck to you.

Thanks for your feedback! I do have and have read the Fat Flush Plan book (as well as Guess What Came to Dinner?). I am beginning to follow the eating/lifestyle plan but not using the Fat Flush Kit. I will go ahead and just stick to the products in my Colon Cleansing Kit and see how it goes.

Thanks again!

Hi Ceci,
Using the SGIC with the CC Kit does help enhance the cleansing. At the very least, it is advisable to use some addition form of fiber, such as ground flax seed or psyllium, like ALG recommends in Fat Flush.

Thanks Joel, actually as I keep researching the cleansing topic and reading more into the process it seems the suggestion is just that, to take the SGIC with the Colon Cleansing Kit. I was confused and unsure because honestly there are so many products and when you're on a budget it's not feasible to purchase so many, plus I don't want to be on overload mode with so many things I'm ingesting!

I have already begun the CC Kit so I will just incorporate SGIC into my cleansing once the product arrives. I also use ground flax seed and flax oil.

It will be difficult with the no fruit/fruit juices or milk/wheat products during and immediately after the cleanse but I'm sure it will be well worth it!

Brown/wild rice is ok right? Do you know if organic soymilk is ok? I would like to use it with my Whey Protein.

Muchas Gracias!

Unfermented Soy is not okay... the reasons why are in your book! I use P2 Cranwater to make my smoothies...

Whole grains are fine, if you tolerate them well, but definitely P3... there are several very good reasons to eliminate them at first and reintroduce them one at a time to be sure they like you (that, and the weight-loss thing, of course.)
