I apologize if I'm not posting this in the right forum.... I'm starting the FFP - AGAIN
![]() It worked for me the first time, I lost several inches. I'd never lost anything before so I know this plan works. It just got too expensive. At any rate, I'm beginning it again. I've eaten fairly healthy (no sugar, pop or simple carbs) for about 12 years now. But I know one of my problems is portion control. I was just wondering if I should purchase one of those portion control plates? I know I could just look up correct portion sizes, but if I'm going to do it, I need the plate. I just wanted to make sure this would go along with doing the FFP? Any thoughts or opinions? Thank you!!

Welcome back to the forum and to the FFP.
I'm not certain what a portion control plate is, but I would think if it's a tool that you need to be successful and it isn't too much, than go for it. That said - I do my own, instead of using a dinner plate, I use a saucer or small plate. Instead of a bowl, I use the small pyrex prep dishes. I find that if I'm out eating, I get the to go box with my dinner and portion it immediately before I eat. And with salads, or veggies that are unlimited, I get the biggest bowl, I use the serving bowls vs the soup bowls. My mom was/is a big weigher of her food. She could never really tell what was right - so she weighed it and learned portions that way. It was very interesting growing up to a mom weighing and measuring portions prior to preparation or service. ALG has made it very straightforward what good portions are which is a great way to follow a plan vs. calorie counting. Good Luck on your renewed journey.
