Greetings Folks,
I just finished reading through the thread on the Stoppers and there were some great insights offered. I am just checking in to see if there are folks logging into the Forum out there who still have 100+ pounds to lose. I would love some additional running buddies (although I have some great buddies with 20-40 pounds to lose) I started Phase one last Tuesday and am doing great thus far, a couple of slips but all is well. Those of us with this much weight to lose deal with different issues than a lot of other fat flushers but I think we have the greatest advantage as well. Since we will be doing this for a longer period of time to meet our goal weight we are going to be more apt to make this part of our new lifestyle instead of a diet (I hate to use the "d" word). So if you are in it for the long haul and want to stay in touch daily, weekly or monthly let me know. |

I am still here - only 94 left to lose out of 155! And FFERSUSANNE is still here, too. Can't speak for others. I fully intend to stay until and even after I get to goal!

Debbie and Krysten
Glad to meet you. Glad to know you are both in there and making it work. Krysten the good news is that your body is melting away maybe a bit slower than when you started but it is melting. Loved your wedding pictures we sail out of Long Beach Harbor anytime we are home. Debbie, Great Work and great goals I am in there with you. Seems like we are on similar paths. I started this journey earlier this year when I weighed 280 Pounds. I commute between our office in California and our office in Germany. I spend most of my time in Germany. I lost 23 pounds and then made the mistake taking a group of ladies on a tour through Switzerland, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic. The trip was not the mistake it was a blast and could have been better, had I stayed on program. The First week I did great staying on program. Did I mention these ladies were big food loving women? I just wanted to enjoy the other foods and I wasn't ready for it I went off program (made the choice to go off program it was very conscious) then things went upside down in our business and I remained off program (you know because with everything else I was facing I at least deserved to eat and drink what I wanted What a Crock! That's right your business is failing so you might as well kill yourself as well That was back in July I had lost 23 pounds before that time. I have kept that weight off as I don't really take food over the top (it is the beer and schnitzel that gets me and I avoid both like the Plague). Last week I made the decision that I had been putting off until the New Year to just finish this once and forever. So I weighed in at 262 and am off with a goal weight of 145 Pounds and I know I can do it. As your signature says Krysten living life day by day and it's choices.... I weighed in this morning at 253 pounds. I know that 9 pounds in a week is great success and I know it is largely due to the fact that my Metabolism is running so high given how heavy I am. I will enjoy it while it lasts and then when it begins to slow down I will enjoy that too as long as I am going down. My plan is to stay on Phase 1 for a month... then do the one day detox and then go on a modified Phase 2..... I thought about just staying on Phase One for few months but the book discourages that. Do you all have thoughts on the process? Phyllis |

Hi Phyllis-
I believe that my biggest issue was overkill...trying too much of a good thing. The hardest thing for me to realize is that these books are specifically researched to do the most optimal work for your body. They say Phase 1 is two weeks mainly because you are on such a decreased amount of calories, that is the most amount of time you should be on that low of calories. What I am finding out now is that my fatigue is kicking in because I insisted on Phase 1 for a month. So now I am listening to my body and what it needs. Phyllis, listen to yourself, and yes take it day by day. Now I take it day by day. I am on phase one for a week to try to cleanse myself properly, then I will move on to phase 2 because I can feel my body craving those energy reseves in the friendly carbs. I started this whole thing with the Fast Track 1 day fast and then went into phase 1. I think that was the best way for me. Although, because it is a 11 process, I might consider going into phase 2 for a better follow up. I had an OPD yesterday and am looking forward to one today! Germany and the travel sounds like it was such fun, how could you not participate? I would have certainly been right there with you! Here is to getting back on track! Hey DEBBIE! Good luck on the goal! We can do it! PHYLLIS- Catalina was certainly a wonderful experience, I really enjoy visiting there! I am currently living in the Oakland area. Krysten |

Phyllis, sounds like you've had an interesting year! My hubby and I lived in Germany many moons ago (my middle son was born there). Where exactly are you?
As for my thoughts on the process, I'd suggest that you do 2 weeks of P1 and then move to P2 for a couple of weeks, and then do the one day detox. My experience has been (and when I started, I weighed 272) that if I stay on P1 for more than 2 weeks, I get hungry and start going off the wagon. The weight loss also stops even if I'm doing it perfectly. (There's a reason ALG says no more than 4 weeks--if you did P1 and 1-day detox, it'd be almost six weeks.) So I mix it up. If you do 2 weeks of P1 alternated with 2 weeks of P2, then when you get ready to do the 1-day detox (which is actually 11 days), it'll really shake things up again. Just my 2 cents.

Krysten, Sue and Terri
Thank you so much for the counsel. Terri I am taking CLA and I believe it to be really helping and I won't stay on Phase One more than 4 weeks and I will definately consider doing everything you all have counseled. Sue your two cents means quite a bit given your proven success so thank you I will make sure I keep it in mind and rethink how I work the phases. As to life in Germany we are living outside of Kaiserslautern near Ramstein Air Base, we live in the little town of Bann. Were you all here pastoring a church or with the military? We have a lot of friends working with Cadence International over here. Krysten I will definately listen to my body. Ok so on with Phase 1 for now and listening to my body... All is well 8 days in and feeling great! Phyllis |

Hi, Phyllis,
I'm still in it for the long haul. Just about halfway home at 63 pounds gone but my goal is 128 pounds. It occurred to me a couple of days ago that 128 is the number of ounces in a gallon. So, I'm just about a half-gallon down. Got through the Thanksgiving holidays well, even managed to lose a pound. One good thing I'm finding about the long haul is that your mind has the time to really adjust to the emerging you, and rework your food relationships. |

Great to hear from you. Your pictures look great you look beautiful! Can you imagine yourself at 140 pounds? World look out! Looks like you half a gallon ahead of me and we are similar paths... Yes I think that is our great advantage we have longer to make this more a part of our lifestyle and I think as a result we will have a better chance of keeping the weight off.... because it is a lifestyle not a temporary diet.... different way of thinking.. You have made great progress this year.... I look forward to traveling down this road with you.... Great Job! |
