Journal Posting Rules

For more informaiton on the rules and guidelines for posting a jorunal, please click here.

Fat Flush Journals are a tool to help you change your eating habits so that over time, you will be able to fully embrace the Fat Flush lifestyle and achieve improved health.

Fat Flush Journals are not personal diaries or blogs full of detailed "personal" information - this is a public space, after all.

Please post only to your own journal!!!. If, however, when reading someone else's journal, you want to respond to them, feel free to email them privately off the board.

1) Do post what you are eating in terms of plan components (example: drank all of my cranwater PLUS 40 oz plain water, ate about 10 oz of lean protein, etc.)

2) Do post which supplements you are taking

3) Do post your exercise (or lack thereof)

4) Do post how well you are sleeping (or not)

5) Do post your insights, light-bulb moments, successful FF strategies, etc.

6) Do not dwell on your emotional state. While it's ok to say "I'm having a lousy day" it's NOT ok to say "I'm angry and depressed because I have issues with family members"

Emotional eating is a common contributor to over-eating and eating disorders. Recognizing your emotional triggers can greatly assist you in your journey to shed excess weight and change your relationship to food. Record your emotional triggers by all means and work out ways to change your response to them. Read Taming of the Chew by Dr. Lamothe or seek professional help in resolving unhealthy emotional connections with food. For nutritional help, contact Liz Krichman and for meal planning assistance, contact Linda Shapiro

When you have an off-plan day, use your journal to explore what went wrong (lack of planning? unexpected company? emotional upheaval?) and work out a plan for the next time which will give you an on-plan result.

7) When reading someone else's journal, keep in mind that their plan tweaks and changes to the Fat Flush Plan will be in response to their unique situation and what works best for them may not be true for you. This is the reason posting personal daily menus is not permitted (there are a lot of lurkers out there! )

8) be your own head cheerleader! Post positive, uplifting and life-changing words or statements. Focusing on negatives in your life make it difficult to see and celebrate the positives.
