Lightbulb

Just a note to BetteBoop... Just follow the protocols as written in the Fat Flush Plan Book. Veggies really are unlimited - I make the soup without protein, then add in the specified amount at the meal... the casseroles should specify how many servings per recipe.

Hello everyone,

I did the Fast Track in the summer of 2006 and enjoyed how I felt on it. Now I'm ready to lose some weight and I've begun reading the Fat Flush Plan book. I'm gradually getting myself ready to embark on P1 in a few weeks. I do not want to jump abruptly into a detox, I want to be well prepared for P1.

Aside from wanting to lose a few sizes, I feel overall very good. I have a lot of energy (not quite as high as when I was doing the Fast Track but more energy than almost anyone I know). I enjoy a lot of satisfaction with life, and feel great appreciation for the wonderful resources on this forum.

I'm looking forward to becoming more active, eating more healthfully, and watching my body respond to it all.

Teresa

Smile 2 week elimination diet

Good morning all.
I have just picked up the book, Get the Sugar Out. The two week elimination diet (I hate that word..lol) does not state what to drink (water being the obvious). Also, can I eat in moderation any of the few items listed? What are the best nuts? And doesn't whole grain have sugar?

I'm new to all of this so please bear with me. My younger sister started this after Christmas as has dropped 7 lbs.

Thanks so much.

Hi, Chameleon, and welcome to the forum! Get the sugar out is a great way to start and get familiar with a healthier way of eating. I would recommend also getting either the Fat Flush or Fast Track Detox to further your efforts to lose weight and get healthy (you can find these in ALG's store- the link at the top of the page). It's been a while since I've read the Sugar book, but, for now, avoid anything with sugar and sugar substitutes- so, yes, water and lots of it is recommended.

No, whole grains do not have sugar, it is what is ADDED to them that has the sugar. You will have to learn to be a label reader, because as you will no doubt read is that there is hidden sugar everywhere in prepared foods at the market!

Keep reading and educating yourself on this lifestyle. Your body will thank you!

Hello,
I am just starting out and I was wondering if anyone could recommend which program to use. I have purchased the Fast Track and the Fat Flush cookbook, but I don't know which program is for me.

Default Just starting

Hello, I just finished readng the FF book, and today I am starting phase one. I do have a couple of concerns, as I am hyperthryroid (taking medication) and have had my gallblader removed about 3 years ago. wondering if there is something I should do differently because of this, or am I not going to see the proclaimed results.

Default Desperate for HELP!

I have been trying to lose weight for over five years now. I was told by someone that I just met on the net to try this site (Commercial link removed per Forum rules) for products that are safe and reliable.
I'm open for all and any suggestions.

jakyky,
Have you picked up a copy of the Fat Flush Plan yet?
It is safe, reliable, and actually rebuilds your health even as you lose weight because it is fully of delicious, real food. Read the success stories here on this site and also watch Ann Louise's infomercial on the home page. Thousands of people have reaped the benefits of following the Fat Flush Plan. You can decide if it is the right plan for you as well.
Good luck!

Hello! I've been away for 2-3 years, and I didn't post much before, but I have several of Ann Louise's books (Before the Change, Fat Flush Plan, Fat Flush journal). I need a boost to get back on the program. I did well when I was on it, but to tell the truth, Phase 1 was difficult for me, and remembering that makes it harder to start it again. I am trying to remember that I: 1) lost weight, 2) lost cravings and 3) felt good.

I was weighing myself regularly last summer when I started a running program, but haven't weighed myself all winter... yes, I'm a chicken. I was around 135 last summer and my goal is to lose about 15-20 lbs (I'm 5'3" if I stand up straight).

Thanks,
Mary Ann

Welcome back, Mary Ann!
Yes, once again you can 1) lose weight 2) lose cravings and 3) feel great and in only a short time too!
If beginning with Phase 1 feels too daunting for you right now, why don't you begin with Phase 2 or Phase 3 and 'back' your way into the program? You can begin by re-establishing your Fat Flush habits, and when you feel a little more in control, you can slip right into a quick round of phase 1. This would be a perfectly fine way to do it if you think that would work better for you.

The important thing is to make the commitment to yourself and get started! Every bit of energy you put into following the plan brings you that much closer to your goal.

We're happy you're back with us again; we look forward to hearing from you often!
