I'm in day 8 of fat flush Phase 1. This is my second time doing fat flush. The first time was much different because I was very regular and I felt phase 1 was cleaning out my body.
I do think that I know what the culprit MIGHT be. I'm using a different protein shake. I went to the health food store in my area and asked for a whey protein and this is what the person there recommended: Vega Vega Complete Whole Food Health Optimizer (Vitamins and Natural Therapeutics / Protein Powders and Meal Replacements) A week later I'm at another health food store looking to get more Vega and the woman there tells me it's not even made of whey, it's hemp. Also it's very high in fiber as you can see. As a result I purchased another protein shake that is definitely whey. I've done two enemas yet I'm still feeling very constipated and kind of sick. Therefore I pulled out a medication from my medicine cabinet (which I was prescribed a while back when I was pregnant) for constipation called pms.Lactulose. I regret taking it because I tasted like I was swallowing pure sugar in syrup form. Just to give you more info.....I'm following phase 1 exactly as instructed when it comes to food. As for supplements: As recommended in Fat Flush Plan book. I'm really hoping someone can give me some advice as to how I can get my system to go back to being regular again. Does this past week of phase 1 not count? Should I start over again from scratch? Thanks in advance ***by the way I'm new to the board and I really don't understand any of the shortcuts used such as SGIC, LLC, etc ============ Last edited by MichelleO; 02-27-2010 at 01:33 PM. It is good to have you with us and sorry to hear that you are having constipation issues, that is quite common when you begin to change your diet, that body take a little time to readjust to all the new things we are adding to it!
Do try adding Magnesium 400mg's at a time up to 1200mg's max per day, according to your bodies tolerance level! Too much of this great suppliment can cause loose bowels as it is a very effective muscle relaxant! As for listing your daily suppliment regime, we are sorry to say that that violates copyright laws, so is not allowed here on the Forum. We also can not comment on other companies products as the only ones we know meet all of Dr. Ann Louises standards are the ones available through Unikey. SGIC, refers to Super G I Cleanse, a great fiber source, available through Unikey! LLC means Life Long Cocktail part of the daily protocol explained in the Fat Flush Plan book. Your that prescription laxative did look like it was mostly sugar, but your body should be flushing it out soon. Good luck with your Flushing and please review Forum rules and regs. Thanks for understanding!

Forum Abbreviations BTW - I second what Nina said - and recommend that you stick with FF products for the very best results - and for the assurance of the highest quality products. In addition, forum members receive a 10% discount from UniKey - and the folks there are SUPER helpful. Give them a call at 1-800-888-4353. Tink ![]()

Welcome, hananke. It's great to have you with us on the Forum.
You might be right about the "whey" powder contributing to the constipation, and as Nina said, it's not uncommon for our bodies to go through a period of adjustment to a new way of eating. The magnesium she recommended should help you get sorted out in a jiffy. Quote:

Thank you all for being so welcoming to me. I really appreciate your feedback. I have as recommended upped my Magnesium to 1000mg. Unfortunately this has not helped yet so tomorrow I will go up to 1250. My system seems to be really blocked.
Oh, and Michelle, its not the whey that I believe made me constipated....I think it's the Vega shake that consists of hemp and other vegan products. I will keep you all updated...again many thanks. |
