Hi there, can anyone tell me if the Body Protein Powder is available outside the U.S. ? I live in Glasgow, Scotland and would like to try the Shake thing for a couple of weeks. Also, if it is not available can I do the same thing using the Whey to Go powder or is it not suitable?

Hi to you Elspeth, in Glascow!!! If you can order anything from the States and have it delivered there in Scotland, you could order the Body Protein, there isn't anything in it that would be banned! It is a vegetable based protein powder and seems to keep people sated for longer than the whey protein, for some reason! If there is no way you can have it shipped to you, go on the Unikey website and look at the list of ingredients in it, and do the best you can to find something simular, hopefully with no added sugars or aspertame!
Good luck doing the Shakedown! I am raising my glass of cranwater to you, from Canada!!!

Thank you Nina. I have now bought some Whey-to-go and will use this in the meantime. I wanted to start ASAP so didn't really want to wait for stuff to be shipped, also it costs so much. I have read a few posts on the topic and hope that I don't feel too hungry on the whey protein. I might take some celery sticks with me to work so I can munch on something. I was very impressed with your picture trail. It's not easy putting up pictures of your "big" self. I can hardly stand the thought of being photographed at the moment! Anyway, that situation is about to change. Thanks again for your support.

Hi LInda, Thank you for your offer of support. I have managed to get through day one (proper) of the SS. Yippee! I only had some pears this morning (bit boring ) so I made a double sized smoothie and had half for breakfast and took the rest to work for lunch. Normally I'm so hungry by lunchtime that I could chew the leg off a chair! Today though, I didn't really feel hungry at all. Even when I got home at tea-time I didn't feel snack-ish. I made a spicy lamb stew for dinner and had a big leafy salad with it. Blimey, it was yummy! Tomorrow I'll have the joy of raspberries in my smoothie.
Now, I'm off to measure myself and reveal the ghastly truth of my size. Wish me luck!

Cheers to day 1! Good for you, each day will get a little easier as you go along! I know you don't want to take pictures right now, but several pounds and inches down the road you will be happy you did, even if you keep them under wraps, it is great motivation when you feel yourself wandering back to your old ways!

Hi there, I have now reached day 5 of the SS and have not had any major problems. I measured myself on Monday and was horrified by my size. However, I measured myself again this morning and I was astonished to find that I've lost a total of 9 1/2". I can hardly believe this. I can hardly wait to weigh myself on Monday morning. Tonight I am going out for dinner and theatre with friends from work so I will have to be very careful in my choice of food. No wine for me and I'm driving, to make sure I won't be tempted.
Nina, I have already got my husband Rob to take a photo of me wearing only vest and tights. That wasn't pretty! He will take one every 2 weeks and hopefully the changes will act as an incentive. These photos cetainly won't be finding their way onto Facebook!! Cheers,

Thanks Terri,
Weigh in this morning first thing and I've lost 5 3/4lbs! I am very pleased with this. I also measured myself again and the total inches lost is now 13! I feel very energetic and a lot more optimistic in general. I have not felt hungry except when I've left too long a gap between meals. The whey powder is managing to keep me feeling full enough which is great. I have tried lots of different combinations of berries and I can honestly say the smoothies are delicious. Even my Husband and daughter like them. I love the support you all give on this forum and the enthusiasm you generate. Thanks so much. I will keep posting and hopefully my weight loss will inspire other people too. Cheers,
