Hi everyone,
I'm just starting today, so I thought I would make myself more accountable by coming out of lurking. I have about 15 pounds to lose, and would be pretty happy with just 10, but I've had a very hard time sticking to any kind of diet. I have a pretty active sweet tooth. I've done Fat Flush several times before, but always slipped away from it. But it's the only thing that has ever really "worked" so I keep coming back. I like the idea of the smoothie shakedown--I love the smoothies, and it's so easy. I had my two smoothies today (made together in the am, and brought one to work and kept it in the refrigerator) and took my supplements, and didn't feel hungry all day. Or, by the time I was hungry, it was time to have the second smoothie, or eat dinner. I'm a big coffee with half & half drinker, so it was a big deal to me to make my coffee with FF whey powder instead! I'm going to do some rebounding in a bit when my dinner settles. All in all, a good first day! Kim in MA |

Hi Everyone, It's me again:-)
I restarted my Shakedown 10 days ago to help me with eating more simple meals for Lent. As usual , I didn't weigh and measure since i let myself go badly after the holiday season and i just don't want to know. I feel "stinkin rotten" about that but , here i am again anyway making it work again now. I am not feeling any trimmer yet but i do feel better about myself emotionally. Food is not controlling me, i am in control, totally. This informs every other thing i do through my day. It's all good! I am going to use this plan until Easter, even tho it's a little longer than generally recommended, but it is the perfect fit for fasting between meals and abstaining from rich indulgent foods while giving my body all the nutrients it needs to be healthy. After Easter, my plan is for P2. Also, next week i am going to implement a 1 day detox juice fast, since this is perfect timing. Take care all. isn't it hard not to slurp that last luscious drop of your smoothie?:-) peace, fran

It's nice to be back, Terri, thanks!
Day 12. Oh the weekends! I am grateful that this is all tied up with Lent this time, otherwise, the wine and the pasta would be so much more tempting and irresistable. It's crazy! I know those are the things that get me into trouble everytime so i am finding the strength to leave then alone. Yesterday had me so bloated and uncomfortable and i still can't figure it out but it's gone today and that's much better. Also, struggling with not having coffee since i want to do a one day detox this week. Aimed first for monday but realised it is one of my fuller days with my daycare littles so tuesday will be a calmer, shorter workday and better for a juice fast for sure. peace, Fran

Beginning my third week on the shakedown today. Yesterday was a one day detox with miracle juice and it went very well.No weighing or measuring but i feel good.I got a dry brushing in, oil pulling, some good rest. It was definiteley worth adding into my plan.
I must say, I cannot wait for that morning smoothie, though. Yummy! Happy shakin'! on plan fran:-)
