I am 31 years old and was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) a about five years ago. A nasty side effect of a new treatment last year caused me to gain the 30 pounds I'd lost doing the Fat Flush Plan four years ago. This 30-pound gain was over the course of five months and stopped when I went off the medication but, unfortunately, I'm still at that same weight a year later -- despite two separate Phase One attempts. I am more than intrigued by the Shakedown Protocol and wonder if it could just be the answer I've been looking for to kick my body back into fat-burning gear.
My only hesitation, of course, is the potential interference with the RA and my current treatment. It is actually the supplements that give me pause more than the actual diet. Any time I've done Phase One of the FFP, I've felt great -- and it reminds me how someone with my condition should eat -- but I've never bothered with the supplements. How concerned should I be about the supplements -- and the Shakedown -- in relation to the RA and my current treatment? Should I discuss the diet with my doctor first? What sort of information can I give her to understand the diet? Is there a resource I can look into? Also, are there any other Flushers out there with RA? Just curious. Thank you. Joy |

HI There:
I can't imagine there would be any contraindication for RA and the dietary supplements which are all yeast and dairy-free - common allergens that can trigger a flare-up. The Body Protein itself is hypoallergenic and exceedingly well-tolerated. More info aobut the Body Protein can be found in the Fat Flush for Life book Good luck.
