Anne~
So gald to hear that you had a good day yesterday and stayed on track. Good job! I think maybe you should consider moving to P2 at the end of the 2 weeks. Especially if you are finding yourself hungry. You are 15 pounds from your goal. It might take some time to shed those last remaining pounds. But then again....P2 might be just what your body needs to get where you want to be. Hope everyone had a great SS day today. This is my last day.

Well it was a week ago today I started the SS. Stepped on the scale a little discouraged, cause I had been quite faithfull. Lost 2 lbs is all. I have to remember that the scale doesn't always tell the whole story, and feel like I've lost some inches and that I'm eating healthy. So I'm on my way to the second week on the SS!!!
Yes, I do have a support system. My daughter is doing it also, and my husband is supportive, a great guy! Linda |

Sorry I haven't checked in again. I've been checking your posts daily, but not much time to reply lately.
I'm really struggling with the SS. I can't seem to tolerate the Body Protein. I can't swallow it without gagging, and if I do get it down... well, it doesn't stay down long. So in general, I'm just not eating much. I'm not really sure if I'm doing something wrong? They're SO thick and gritty. Has anyone else had a problem with this? Will it just take some adjustment. I was thinking this morning i might try to freeze it fully and eat like ice cream. And truckinmama... where in IA? I'm from Southwest IA originally. :0)

Brendarana, If your body protein shake is too thick why don't you add additional cranwater? Also, how long do you blend? I blend my shake for quite a long time and find this helps with the consistency. Initially I felt it was gritty too. But now I don't mind it. Who has changed, the shake or me? IBut, seriously, I think blending for a longer time and adding perhaps another 1/4 cup of cranwater will help. Another comment, the consistency really differs each time I make a shake, and I wonder sometimes what I may have done wrong. The kind of fruit you use is another variable. I use frozen blueberries and raspberries. I tried fresh strawberries the other day and the shake was completely different (Delicous too). Good luck! Anne

Hi Brendarana,
Anne gave you excellent advice. I just wanted to add that if you are using chia seeds to wait till the end and then just pulse them in. Also, if you take your shake with you, stir in your chia seeds just before drinking. They thicken smoothies FAST! ![]() Waving hi to to all the Shakers...y'all sound like you are doing GREAT! ![]()

Thanks for the advice ladies! I'll give it a shot. I'm used to the whey powder that you don't want to blend long or it "fluffs" too much.

Hi, there,
Today was C- day --got the official number and I absolutely need to lower my cholesterol. I am searching for the best way to do this. I have been interested in this plan for quite awhile, (reading about it but not doing it . This appeals to me, in that it seems like minimal preparation. Can you eat like this long term? Will this plan help with the cholesterol issue? Does the Fat flush plan help with that? Is there anywhere that people have written about their experience with this. I am sure slimming down and eating right will help. Is there a particular protein powder that is best for lowering cholesterol? I am also hypothyroid, on medication. Where can I read more about the shakedown plan. Is it really best to get all the products in the kit, on uni key for this? thanks! |

Good Evening Ladies!
I'm taking a break from studying my Spanish verbs ............... I had a doctor's appointment for a physical at 10am so I wasn't allowed to eat anything from midnight on ( until after the physical). My blood pressure is a REALLY low -- A "good low" according to this doctor. He also said, "you're too 'pretty' to be so heavy" to which I replied, "I know .......... I am working on it". I did ask him, "hey is this scale correct?" because it was less than my scale at home ( note: my digital scale at home may seriously be on its last leg!). He said, "yes, my dear of course, we cannot have an inaccurate account of patients weight." Okay, whatever ......... I will find out the results of all the tests on Thursday so I can see if the cholesterol is down, etc. When I got home, I made my shake ( I am with Anne in that I blend the heck out of my shakes to get them smooth / thick), took my supplements and was off to run a million errands. Had my second shake, took the supplements and took care of my banking. I have almost completed the two week SS and have to say that I really do like the ease of this particular protocol. In terms of how I feel, I must admit that I don't so miserable when I'm sleeping ( I felt uncomfortable in my own skin if this makes sense), clothes aren't super loose yet, but I can SEE the visible difference in the amount of fat that is on my back ( I HATE back fat!) and around my waist. Next week, I am considering doing ONE week on P1 and THEN moving on to P2. For dinner, I was out with my SKINNY "friend boy" vs. boyfriend" at our FAVORITE Israeli cafe and we ordered a giant fresh green salad ( no dressing, just lemon) with grilled salmon. We always have such a good time laughing, talking and enjoying each other's company. He is leaving for Spain on Friday and I'm going to miss him so much when he leaves ( he is really my BEST friend ). I didn't drink as much water as I have been today -- shame on me! Will make this a priority tomorrow. The interview was almost too casual. The Director didn't even ask any of the typical interview questions, it was more of a dialog. I couldn't get an honest read on the whole thing, but it wasn't negative. The director told me that he would contact me (either way) next week. So I'll see what happens. Good night all. More tomorrow ........... MFPM |

MFPM, I hear a fundamentally positive note underlying your words and I rejoice! You are getting into your groove! From my experience it's the groove, not the destination, which is most important. I think one can make positive things happen while in the groove, and also weather difficulties more easily.
I had a "groovy" day yesterday, happy to report! And I feel good so far today. My only complaint is that I'm not sleeping soundly. It's like I have a very low level buzz all night long (and not from coffee!). I believe it's a result of eating less. I think I read somewhere on the Forum that magnesium can help with sleep. I'll buy a bottle today. Terri, I am very, very curious to know the final result of your SS. What are you planning to do next? P2 or P3? Best, Anne |

Hello Everyone ~
Glad to hear that everyone is doing and feeling well. I know we all want to lose the weight (yesterday), but for me, I really enjoy the way I feel when I stay on plan. It is such a great natural high that I get from good unprocessed foods. Ok....so can I have a drum roll please............I lost another 3.5 pounds in the second week. This brings the total to 13 pounds. ![]()
