Default SS to P1 or P2?

Hi again!,
I'm nearing the end of my SS two weeks (have lost 9 pounds so far and feel great! Thank you ALG and everyone here for the support!).

Have two questions:
1) should I move on to FF P1 or P2?

2) why does everyone here say that P2 is where one loses the most weight? Is it because people are on it longer? Or is it because the additions of a few friendly carbs accelerate weight loss (that is, if one can find a "friendly carb" that actually is friendly!).

Thanks!

I would go on to P2. The shakedown was like a P1...yes, you are right. Weight loss happens steadily, with the body being nourished by the right foods and moderate exercise- and this becomes the detective phase of your journey- ie. you weed out foods you get reactions to, as your body has been cleaned by the SS, or P1, and you just KNOW what doesn't agree with you.

Keep up the great work!
