I am new here. I have followed the plan and lost 60 pounds. I am now close to maintenance which is something that I was never able to achieve in the past with any plan. I lost weight, got close, and then gained it all back more times than I care to see in black and white in this post. I am nervous about keeping the weight off. A general question I have here I am sure many have had to deal with. Do I save my old fat clothes in a suitcase in the basement
or donate them? Pros & cons anyone? Thank you so much. P.S.: I am sorry if this is in the wrong category. |

![]() Hello giogirl! Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your success! You must be so proud of yourself and what you've accomplished in choosing FF and its healthy way of living!! I applaud you!! ![]() When you refer to maintenance... are you referring to classic FF's Phase 3? Or are you referring to Fat Flush For Life? As to your old "fat clothes"... donate them! Rest assured that by living the FF way you will not fit in them again! IMHO, saving your old clothing allows a bond to the "old you" to remain - and that, giogirl, is not a bond to maintain. You've successfully detoxed physically and let go of the old ways of eating... it's time to detox emotionally and let go of the rest. I believe it's all part of completing the journey to one's new self. Even though you'll be on maintenance, I do hope that you'll continue to participate in the forum. It's such a wonderful source of support, encouragement, and inspiration! I look forward to future posts from you! Tink

Giogirl, congrats on your phenomenal success!!!
Tink is right- get rid of the fat clothes...mind body connection here is important. Whether you choose to follow P3 or FF4L, you will do well. Continue to monitor and watch your reactions to foods. It does take time for your mind's eye to catch up and see yourself as a fit healthy person. It took me quite a while to stop expecting to see an overweight person in the mirror. Enjoy all the things you can do, all the things you can wear and the empowerment you have with FF that will stick with you for life!Keep us posted, and HTH!
