I am 64 years old and on day 8 of Smoothie Shakedown. Have lost 8 pounds and 1 inch off my waist. Drinking 10 to 11 glasses of water and taking all the FF supplements recommended with SS. Very happy and successful except for one major problem: On day 5 to the present day have had severe leg cramps every night when sleeping, awakening with these 4 to 7 times a night. Please advise as these cramps are much too severe to live with. I do take some Magnesium at bedtime but it does not seem to help. Any and all help is welcome! Thank You.

Has anyone experienced adverse detox reactions from the plan? I completed the diet about 5 years ago, and I have been struggling with detox symptoms ever since. I know the protocol is very effective, and would recommend it to others, but I it was WAY too strong for my weak constitution. Ever since doing this, I have been experiencing blood sugar control issues, insomnia, hormonal imbalances, muscle weakness, feeling 'hungover' all the time etc. I don't blame the diet, just that I wasn't in a state to do this. Now I have no idea what to do. I have tried EVERYTHING, and seen many doctors, no one knows what to do. Has ANYONE ELSE had similar experiences? I'm desperately looking for advice!!

Sometimes on day 14 I start having bleeding and so I stop using Progestakey thinking my period is starting again. It turns out it is just spotting for 3 or 4 days. Do I start using Progestakey again after the spotting stops up until my real period starts?

Also, I was reading about Hot times creme for women and was considering trying it. Do you not use this if you are using Progestakey? Progestakey helps with the menopausal symptoms but it does not help significantly with the difficulty in climaxing that often comes with menopause.

Just trying to find a solution...

Hello,

I just started the Fat Flush 2 week plan and I have a question about salad dressing. In the recommended menus in the book it will say something like "mixed-green salad with broccoli florets and cucumber, 1 tbsp flaxseed oil, 1 8-ounce glass of cran water". I am wondering - Is the 1 tbsp flaxseed oil meant to be the salad dressing? Am I supposed to eat tbsp of oil by itself and have the salad plain with no dressing at a all? Either way that seems very bland and disgusting. It seems to be this way with all of the salad menu suggestions in the book. So.. What's the deal? Is there no salad dressing allowed in the plan? It seems very upsetting to me to think of having salad with no dressing at all. Also upsetting to have salad with plain oil on it. Anyone who can answer this question please help! Thank you!

i have been a bit worried about switching to phase 2 as it was since i did so well on phase one but def. hit a slow down at the end of it. by the end...

i have been a bit worried about switching to phase 2 as it was since i did so well on phase one but def. hit a slow down at the end of it. by the end of 4 weeks on phase one i lost exactly 20 pounds, that was this past saturday. saturday night was my birthday so i was a little bad and had 3 shots of tequila (im being honest here) and a slice of cranberry gluten free soy free dairy free cake. the day after my birthday no surprise i was holding about 1.5 pounds of water weight, and then i had to go get my depo provera shot (i have endometriosis) which keeps me retaining another pound or so for a few days.) so i am carrying still 2.5 pounds of water weight and i know why but i figured that it would start to go down? my daily work outs on phase one were 5 minutes of jumping on the trampoline and TTAPP 15 minutes plus and i was eating close to 1000 calories a day.
i am now on phase two as of sunday. this week i have decided to add snow peas and shredded brusel sprouts back into my diet to see how it goes. i have not lost the water weight unfortunately and am worried that i might not see a loss at all. i know it is early to tell but it would be nice to have some reassurance that i will start to see a change. my work outs for the first two weeks of phase two are going to be the 30 day ab challenge from skinnyms.com, the 30 day squat challenge, TTAPP 15 minutes plus, and 20minutes of jumping on the trampoline (10 in the AM 10 in the PM) and then after two weeks (after i've added back a squash of sorts) i am planning on switching to the 30 day shred instead of TTAPP. i have upped my daily calories to 1350 or so by adding the daily allotted 2x protein shake.
the only other thing i changed going into phase 2 is i switched from psyllum husk with my life long cocktail to the cold pressed flaxseed pills and the cocktail is the concentrated form (5oz water 5oz cranberry) since this way i dont have to worry about it interfering with my medications.
i am looking for reassurance that i am doing this right, and that this will work to help me loose more weight. I am not looking for miracles and am ready and have been putting in the work to see results, i would just like to know that phase 2 will show results since it's called the weight loss phase but i'm eating more. thanks everyone , have a great day!

Happy Monday Morning!! It's a week after my son and his lovely bride got married. One day after Mother's day and I'm ready to recommit to exercising 4 days a week. Anyone else need a little accountability which comes from reporting in each day you exercise?

Plan out your exercise week as you would your eating week: what time of day works best for YOU; could you benefit from some stretching days as well as cardio (can't we all?); reevaluate Thurs morning to see how you're doing so you can really focus if you're behind.

Post here each day that you move it then count them up to see how you did!

Let's go.......

Hi everyone! I'm so eager to join in. I have read a couple of Ann Louise's books in the past and even partially following the program has provided good results. That was in years past... This past week, I began the Smoothie Shakedown and after a few days incorporated the Hot Metabolism Booster with the net result being I've already lost 4 lbs.

I'm sorry to say that it took both an external factor (vacation next week) and an internal factor (ulcerlike pains among others) to get me in gear once again. None of the clothes I would like to wear fit but if I keep up this loss-rate for the next few days, I should have at least a few outfits that are fitting for a trip to the mountains and beach. :glasses:

Anyway... with the wise advice here, I know I am headed in the right direction. I have been sleeping a little better this past week, too, which is very much needed! A demanding job that started with 3 months of lo-ong commutes then followed by 2 months of lo-ong hours was not helpful in regaining my goal weight. You see 8 yrs ago, I topped out at 178 lbs. I got down to 164 with some common-sense eating then joining some online challenges and returning to a whole-food approach helped me get under 150. Sticking to that and dropping carbs and late meals helped me reach my goal (ideal weight) of 129. After losing a few more lbs and holding steady for a year, I started gaining back. This past year had me pushing 150 for the last 9 months. Today I weighed in at 140! :yipi:

I feel confident that my goal can be reached again BUT I know I don't do well under stress and I need accountability. So, here I am... Incidentally, I have found the Hot Metabolism Booster absolutely amazing! More on that another time, it's Mother's Day and my kids (all grown) are taking me to an organic restaurant where I should have a myriad of healtful choices!

Have a wonderful day, everyone!

I am starting to feel like me again. :)
