I'm here!
Back on track after being away since last Wed. on college visits. Lots of walking, much of which was hills which this Florida girl isn't used to anymore...whew! (Excited to report that my DD became a University of Florida Gator during this trip! ![]() ![]() )This week I am continuing to focus on cardio. I've got weight training covered, but cardio needs to be increased if I want to keep burning that belly fat! So my week will be 3 days weight training with cardio mixed in and 2-3 aditional days of cardio alone (rebounder, elliptical, treadmill and walking) Off to the gym I go!

Gold - I hope that you love the kettlebell as much as I do. I can't wait to hear how the classes went. I just upped my weight from 20lbs to 25lbs.
My funny kettlebell story: I can either 1 - work out on hardwood floors with a taller ceiling at my house - or lower ceiling and cement floor. I opt for the cement floor. This Am - I was doing single arm swings with an overhead press.... flipped the kettle bell right into the ceiling. My husband was in the other room and asked what that noise was - I told him the nice dent I created in the drywall - lucky me it didn't go through.... whoops. I signed up for my first 12K - so am now starting to train. I did 40 minutes of kettlebell this AM - and then the kids rode their bikes to school, while I ran. Round trip - it was 6.25 miles. I have 8 weeks to my race, so I think I'm on a good plan to get there in time. My boss wasn't happy that I didn't show up for work and hour early like I generally do - my 9AM start time instead of 7:45 like usual.

That is a really funny story, that is the kind of thing that would happen to me except it would end up out a window here!
Fantastic on the 12k! That is amazing. Have you always been a runner? I might give it a try. I am going to start to walk my daughter to school as soon as it gets nicer here, that will add 3 miles to my day-maybe I could jog/walk home...

Linda - How cool! That college decision is such a big one. My bosses dd was home for the weekend from college, the poor girl has always been fit has put on the Freshman 40 - only more like 60, he's really worried about her, genetically she is challenged on body type.
Gold - no never been a runner. Started last year, mainly because I decided that I really want to run at marathon at 40, so I can say I accomplished something on my own. I have one of those husbands that whenever I do something, he has to 1-up me. I know he doesn't have the time or commitment to running. After 20 years together I still want to create something that just "I" did. If that makes sense without sounding bad I'll be 40 in September, so am planning on an October marathon. I did 50 minutes of weights this AM with my kettlebell. Then I reviewed my ChiRunning DVD and worked on body awareness and posture. I wasn't sore whatsoever or overly tired from my 6 miles yesterday, so much be doing something right. Also.... success to report. As suggested in a previous question, I'm now using the Female Testosterone cream daily - I'm on week two - and already noticing the results I was wanting and not getting. I'm breaking the plateau as well, I've not gained my 3 bouncing pounds in the last 10 days. I can actually see my muscles as well, clear lines and length of them. It's great. Very happy with Liz's suggestion. THANK YOU!
