Thought this might be nice to add for Phase 3, so I'm thinking about making it a reward down the road.
Love to hear from anyone else who has used or uses Wii for physical activity. How do you like it? Is it pretty intuitive to set up, use, follow along, etc.? Any specific programs or add-ons you would recommend? TIA! |

Hi, Deb -
You know, I've been thinking about the very same thing for myself... especially with winter, and its accompanying heaps of snow, on the way! mlb929 (on this forum) uses the Wii (she posts about it in the "B-hind" Moving threads) - and she raves about it! Also, a personal friend of mine (she typically runs 5 - 8 miles nearly every day) owns one and has repeatedly told me how effective she has found it to be for days in which the weather is just too bad too run. HTH - Tink

Wii Fit is FUN, FUN, FUN!
![]() Also love the sports like tennis and bowling. I heard the Wii Resort is fun too but I haven't tried it. IMHO you don't have to wait till P3 to enjoy Wii...just don't overdo the exercise for whatever phase you are in! Great family activity too...gets everyone up and moving! Have a blast... ![]()

The Wii Active is my most fun work out - I don't own a Wii, so I work out at my bosses house in his "game room".
I just got the Wii Active More Workouts. Great boxing program. The scenes are all island work outs.... so you feel like you are in Hawaii..relaxing work out. I got the Wii Active and did the 30 day challenge, I lost a lot of inches. It builds you up, so you don't just start being exhausted. Plus it has a great journal feature. He has the Wii Fit as well, I haven't tried the Wii Fit Plus yet, but it would have to be better. Wii Fit is more of a game and Wii active is more of a work out.

Thanks for the input and encouragement, ladies! Definitely looking into a Wii. It looks like there are different types of bundles and packages and options. Great to have choices, but a little confusing when starting out.
I welcome additional input and ideas from the current Wii fans out there...and if any other Wii and Wii to be newbies want to encourage each other and set some goals. ![]() Deb |

I did forget to mention - the step aerobics on the Wii Active More Workouts has a great step aerobics that goes with the Wii balance board.
On the Wii Active - I did buy my own higher resistance band, the one they provided is maybe a 2lb band and I upped to a 10lb band. I had to make some modifications - like use a table leg instead of my foot because of the length of the band - but overall it's worked great. They do have "friend" activities - so my kids love to work out with me. The obstacle course is very fun with a friend as well as the water skiing and paddle board.
