Default The Million Step-Walk/Jog To Health

Okay everyone...hope this challenge can work out. Don't know how many FFs have pedometers, but those who do let's go and those who dont order them (they are only around $21 and you can PM me for where to order them from (Thanks to Terri)).

Everyday, everyone log in there steps off there pedometer and we will hit a million.

May sound like alot but this will be a fun challenge.

Does one week sound like a good goal?? I'd say I can average 100,000 in a week!! I can always edit. PM me any comments (this my first challenge I started)

Who's in!!! Walk/Jog to health!!

(Terri, you know a lil more about this then I do, so any suggestions would be appreciated and I can edit)

I know that I can easily hit 100,000 steps in a week. 6 days @ 15,000 = 90,000 and I day @ 10,000 gets me to 100,000.

What I have found so interesting about my purchase of the pedometer is how few steps I was getting in each day. The average person gets between 3,000 & 6,000 steps in. **Each day you need 10,000 to maintain, and 12,000-15,000 to lose weight. And I was at the low end of the "average scale". (I don't like being average.) And just checking the pedometer every couple of hours keeps me motivated to "take the long way" no matter where I am going.

Count me in Roxsy ~ I will walk to health with you.

**These are not my figures. Some doctor (whose name I can't remember) had done a study on this for years.

Great...let's see if we have any other interested then we will set an offical goal date. If no one else joins it'll be just me and you kid I too can get 10,000 in easy...that's usually my minimum. (I had 20,000 yesterday) And me too with taking the long way and walking places I usually would have drove to..to get my extra steps.

Come all...join in...it's only a million steps!!

I'll join you! I'm not sure how I'll do with the extra walking to meet a goal, but I'd like to give it a shot. My main problem will be time & my feet. I'm in retail sales and after being on my feet for 8-9 hours a day usually takes any idea for a walk right outta my mind! But if part of the steps can include rebounder time--then I'm in for sure.

I can put in 15,000 steps at work with no problem--but they wouldn't be continuous steps. I've been known to take a walk around the parking lot during lunch/dinner and can do that if this darn rain would end!

I can do this!

Well, it doesnt seem like anyone else is joing so let's start. Starting tomorrow, keep track of your steps....so in other words, log your stps in Thursday and that's when we'll start counting. I'll keep track and post the total of all our steps everyday between 3-5(EST). My neighbor is stepping w/us too..his name is Gary. I ordered him a pedometer and it just came today (can;t beat Amazon, next day service).

C'MON YA'LL...NOT TO LATE TO JOIN

I'd say since there is not many of us we'll use this as a trial challenge, then set a goal next time (like one week or two weeks). We'll just step until we get a million. Think of a reward to give yourself. I will get a new handbag or shoes!!!
