Hi....Just used the Progestakey progesterone cream for my second cycle and it doesn't seem to be working for me and my PMS symptoms actually seem to be worse not better! I am still menstruating and following the instructions for use on the container from Day 12 to Day 26 but I still have bad PMS symptoms, namely painful achy breasts, mood changes, anxiety and bloating. I am using one pump in the evening before bed. Should I persevere with this product? I am 47 with regular periods although the length of my cycle is slightly shorter now than it used to be, ie 26 days instead of 28 days. I am not certain if I am in peri menopase though after reading Anne Louise Giffleman's book I think I must be as my PMS has been gradually getting worse for the past couple of years. I also had a saliva progesterone test (around Day 21/22 of my cycle) that showed my progesterone level was low but with normal oestrogen and other female hormone levels. Also can the cream build up in the system until the body is 'overloaded' with the cream? I am rotating the cream on different areas of my body but have read that over a period of a few months the body can become saturated with too much progesterone that the body can't rid itself of?
Any advice would really be appreciated as I had hoped for great things from the Progestakey. Thanks |

Hi, Clarabelle, and welcome to the forum. I too use progesterone, and have used it in the past for peri-menopause. First, let me say, that it takes a few cycles to notice a difference. That being said, what phase are you on in FF? If you are changing your diet and detoxing as well, that could make symptoms worse before they get better. If you give us a bit more background, it may help us to help you better.
There are many other factors and things you can do to help your symptoms lessen. Looking forward to hearing more from you! Take good care,
